God I love their relationship SO MUCH!
Like, their characters just suit each others personalities so well.
Prince Claude is quite quiet and serious, having a bit of a subdued personality which contrast SO WELL with Irene's more boisterous and outgoing characteristics, yet he can also occasionally take charge and show a little bit of his S side (ohohoho we all liked that).
And I love how she's 1000% in his court. She's always there to hype him up! I mean, in the extras she's complementing how all the girls will fall in love with his looks and when asked if she's jealous she's straight up confused. Like HELL YEAH she wants her man looking his best!
And I adore how she's kinda (forcefully) taken the place of his sugar momma haha! Like, let me start a buisness adventure and glam up your house and dress you in fancy clothes that I bought!I honestly love it.
She's a little forceful too, and anyone besides Claude would've probably had enough or been intimidated by her strong personality, but King Claude just takes it in stride!
Sigh... I just *clenches fist* love how well they compliment each other and trust each other.

Hmm, I'm glad that they have a flashback chapter to the past (even though I don't normally like those), because I couldn't figure out how the prince; someone who has known her since childhood and had a great relationship with her, could abandon her like that. The string of accidents fit in well with the plot, but as someone who knows her character, never mind the fact that he is her fiance, he should've been able to look at the situation critically and you know... actually SPEAK to his fiancee and ask her what had really happened.
The fact that he had just assumed the worst of his fiancee and childhood friend shows that he didn't actually want to know the truth he just wanted an excuse to abandon her.
So NOPE! That boy failed the vibe check, time to die.

I so agree with you. He should know that he can't have anything with other girls but he personal went and talked to the other girl. It like, he's asking for something. I don't know why the prince didn't get backlashes for CHEATING on the ML but she got backlashes for accidentally "defending" her position. That doesn't make sense. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Oof his poor face at the end. Oh well I'm pretty sure a bit of seperation will do them good.
ANYWAY I don't want to attack the Princess but I'm straight up NOT loving her character. I mean, she dramatically falls to the floor because a hug sheet for all of two seconds in her childhood isn't horrifically scarred? A bit of an overreaction in my view.
And even what her handmaid's (or friends or whatever) said about how she uses the line "I'm a hostage" to charm men or get people to feel sorry for her when in fact she's treated amazingly? That failed the vibe check I'm sorry my lads.
Like, maybe she's a great character and that was just a bit of a shitty introduction; I'm hoping that is the case because honestly I'm sick of mangas pitting women against each other, but somehow I don't think that's going to be the case.

She is still a hostage just one that is treated well. Although it seems that she doesn't act like one based on the original timeline?
Like I think she might have been able to raise the curse originally because she was held hostage? So she knows how this kingdom uses people as pawns. But then she turns around and seems to reject Ale. Now to be clear I don't think she should have to marry Ale, but the flashback chapters make it seem like she completely abandons him. Like as if they don't even keep up a decent friendship? So it does seem that she was always super spoiled because it looks like she never considered that Ale would fall in love with the only one to show him kindness.
I think she fell to the floor because she realized how much her previous actions hurt Ale?? And maybe now there is this hot noble that she can never charm because of her past actions? She said she read the book about the curse so maybe she even guessed how Ale got the curse, so its a double whammy. Past her fucked up.

Okay so maybe I'm late to the party on this, but I believe the 'star fragments' he's looking for are to control his blood lust, and looking at the picture of the star fragment, it's the same colour of her eyes, so I believe that she either is or has part of the star fragment in her and that's how he can be calm around her

See, i can respect the head maid.
I like how she didn't immediately blame our MC and was able to look at this without her judgment being clouded by rumors... and to be honest, I kinda agree with her judgment. I think Alj is taking way too many liberties with her and ignoring that she's uncomfortable or when she says no. Like I love him, don't get me wrong, but there needs to be boundaries. I think a little bit of separation will do them good (and let us not overlook the amazingly sappy reunion that's going to come our way!!).
God, I hate to say this because I want to trust the author and this is my favourite story every but.... I'm straight up NOT loving these new chapters.
Each time a new chapter comes out since they entered the palace I've been repeting to myself that the author knows what they're doing and to trust the author but... yeah. The last two chapters have gone from bad to worse.
I've mentioned this in another comment, but I actually LOVE Su Won and I do think he deserves redemption, but the way the author is going about his seems really rushed and forced to me. If anything, it's the last two chapters of the author trying to redeem Su Won that has actually made me hate him more than any of the past chapters have.
And the dragons are all acting like Su Won is quite a good guy even though they've barely had any interaction with him. They know he treated Yona and Haku badly and yet it takes barely any convincing at all to make them shed their loyalty (maybe that's putting it too harshly, I know they'll never betray Haku and Yona, but they are certainly forgiving their enemies easily. And what was that with Zeno saying Su Won was very compassionate just because the guy decided not to try and kill you? Su Won: does the bare minimum of not killing someone.
Zeno: wow! so compassionate!).
I'm still hoping the auhtor will turn this around but... yeah.
i think that mental comment from Zeno was a bit sarcastic.
The way I see it; I think the dragons and Hak trust Yona that there is a purpose to all this. Hak is trying to get peoples guards down around him. Maybe make a few friends in the sky tribe army. They all have their guards up and are waiting for Yona's words. The moment she shares her plans and gives the signal, shit is gonna hit the fan.
so worry not my friend.
We are in the calm before the storm.
