I think Chunwoo is the only one here that sucks shdb Ho-in was literally manipulated and was angry for very valid reasons and Woojin was caught up in a very shitty situation trying to help his friend but Chunwoo pointedly did something awful because he couldn't handle a tender kind of love and also sucked at communicating.
Also while this all sucks I think they're handling things in human ways, but Ho-In literally broke down crying from the whirlwind of emotions he was manipulated into and y'all expect him to immediately turn around and apologize like nothing happened? Woojin deserves an apology but very few people can reach that point of anger and then despair and yet have a clear enough head to immediately backtrack and be like oh I was wrong, sorry.
Idunno maybe it's because of all the female readers that are conditioned to apologize immediately even when they did nothing wrong but that's not how most people work and that's okay, people need time to process and he hadn't even heard a proper explanation yet.
This story has been very plot heavy and political from the very start, their romance came through a lot of struggling and there was a lot of human error and clumsiness throughout the whole thing, and when they grew up, they still had the pressure from ruling an entire country on their shoulders, their love was never easy and I think I've always loved that it felt so genuine and raw. That love has never gone away but I loved that it matured with them, their love grew into the same kind you'd see in strong married couples. From the start Shin hinted at his distaste for the idea of a monarchy to begin with, so I don't think it could have ended earlier, Wolfgang was trained to be a king and he wasn't going to be the one to break that cycle. Their society wasn't ready for that. It was the peace he provided that allowed everyone else to flourish and their headstrong daughter who was able to be among the people the most while also having a king's mentality that would be the one to pave the way. I think that for Shin's story to be complete, we needed this last arc.
I kept seeing complaints about it being too political, too boring, etc. But that brings me to the idea that I never bring up myself bc I know that I'm not this type of bl reader– I think it really is fetishization. Y'all aren't seeing enough gay action and are focusing on a female leader and no one wants to see that even if it is actually important to the plot, it no longer interests you. Idunno, it's kind of disappointing to see because I felt like this story would have weeded out those kinds of people a long time ago.
I think the story was very well written and went everywhere it needed to before landing on a beautiful ending.

except gang activity, attempted suicide, blood etc are a different kind of "dark" topic than PISSING on someone in front of his boyfriend after you slapped and choked him. most people are immune to blood and gang shit, they're not immune to watersports. for example, i can read the most "dead dove: do not eat" stuff but i always run away seeing "omorashi" "watersports" tags, this is the case for most people.

it absolutely came out of left field. the story started with essentially a meet cute between a sex worker and a kind of prudish guy with tattoos and a 'dark' past. yoogon and junghae had a healthy relationship, they had good chemistry. now it's suddenly devolved into junghae's younger brother getting cucked by this rich abusive psychotic bitch who slaps + chokes myungha and pisses on his face in front jungwon.
please go read the story from the beginning. this piss stuff is definitely very out of nowhere. if it was a dark story, then the readers wouldn't be shocked. seeing as so many people are shocked and disgusted, then it must mean the story never came off as that kind of 'dark' before this chapter.
