The story was so good tho?? And the "rape" was really just a misunderstanding?? And they made up??????
Get over it, it was sweet and they were happy and there's no point in getting triggered over a 5 chapter BL that's a lot more mild than a lot of the stuff out there. It's fiction. If you can't differentiate between fiction and reality, you shouldn't be reading this kind of thing.
I reread this because I love this mangaka and the story was so cute and well, ofc we all love the consent, beautiful art, and sweet smut but–
I just realized how genuinely cool Hii-kun is?? Like he and Gaku were both so masculine and awesome! Like...yaoi really tends to feminize men and make them feel like what girls want their men to be so aside from "boyish" things like videogames or sneaking porn mags, they don't actually feel? Like guys??
I grew up with only male friends and the majority are males even now in uni, and yaoi guys are never like irl guys lol
But these two are!! Like they actually feel like a couple of really cool guys that happen to be gay and have their own unique personalities. I especially love uehara's bluntness and boyishness alabbssjs he's just so cute without even trying
Both finally got an intervention.
I'm actually rooting for SH though, I think he still has it in him to make BJ Alex Jiwon levels of character development or better, and I think he has the influence, capacity to love, and strength to give Nakyum a better life than anything he would find otherwise even though that's a long ways off. For now, I just want SH to realize how shitty he's been and for Nakyum to come to terms with the fact that his mentor was also a shitty person and to really realize what he feels.
I do love SH... Nakyum is objectively better and such a precious baby and I adore him but
That doesn't mean I hate SH. This man has some major trauma as well that he never dealt with, and judging by his instability and temperament, probably has some unchecked seally serious mental illness like bipolar disorder.
We're talking about a time when noble men could literally do whatever the hell they wanted and were all generally scum, now combine that with someone as emotional, gluttonous, and traumatized as SH. He's a villain, that's for sure, but I think he has a lot of room to grow and develop. He's not a lost cause.
I'm not blaming Nakyum even a little here, because after what he went through of course he'd be too scared to speak up, but you also have to realize that SH 1. Has never had to check himself before and is very selfish and spoiled and 2. Probably has not expressed genuine affection towards another in years if ever, so to lay himself bare only to believe that the person he trusted and started to like betrayed his trust, that must have wrecked him. So he built all his walls and started acting like an enormous dick so he wouldn't get hurt again. Is it okay? No. But it is realistic and true to the character.
To those complaining about his sudden switch up- it's not sudden, again, he probably is bipolar and if not, he just has an extremely unpredictable temperament and he switches up all the time. Also, he clearly had a moment where he realized just how traumatized NY was and how deeply he's screwed up and is feeling super guilty.
I'm excited to see how this plays out!
finally!!! someone who understands the situation deeper than just SH's random play of tantrums. ugh I'm getting tired of reading hate comments as if they didn't already see what lead to it. this is just realistically written and not just your typical cliché easy to guess story where the male lead would just magically understand everything like a genie as if he didn't felt betrayed too. I'm not justifying his actions but it is natural he'd act like that after letting his guard down bc it's nakyum but then suddenly the latter has seemed to abandon him, so it's natural he felt played at. anyone with trust issues would be like that. So I don't get the hate
I agree!! I feel like people are so used to boring, one-dimensional characters and perhaps are one-dimensional themselves so they are so quick to judge! They also don't really seem mature enough to handle a darker theme with complex, imperfect characters and understand perspectives outside if their own.

I'm actually really happy with her answers...especially acknowledging that SH is actually freaking nuts.
But I think this acknowledgement of his trauma and how he came to this point is really going to help with the story. Her last answer also gives me hope that she's going to do it realistically– not an "omg your love has completely brought me to the light" or even anything like BJ Alex where hit ends up being a super healthy, precious relationship. I think it will be more like, "your acceptance and love for me was the push I needed to start my healing process, and I now want to try to be better" you know?
