What i didnt like about fhis story is i thought child was the mc. Story was about a kid whose parents were neglecting him and use kid to avoid each others. Then suddenly story turned into love story between parents. Meh disappointing.
I hate stories like this how seme destroyed ukes life but they getcsecond chance and uke only remember later. Like, they get forgiven so easiely. At least, make it worth. But it really doesnt. There was another storylike this. That one was worse. Uke had memories but it was so painfull for him that he thought it was fiction, its insane. Seme repeatedly tortured and r*ped him in past life but since he is "different person" now, he gets forgiven. I swear those semes dont deserve it. In this story too, i wish Sejin had more therapy and power in this situation that we could at least feel for seme.

The abuse isnt always that obvious. He is manipulative in a way he seduce him with candies and cookies, normalizing kissing and holding hands between them since they were young. He abused his power to take control of ukes life so that he cant marry someone else. He didnt lock anyone. He didnt need to because he literally closed every chance uke had with others.
This saddens me because i recently watched documentary about victim who spoke about his abuser. And the abuser used "exctly this way" to seduce kids, first by making them normalize certain stuff. Yes, this seme "loves" uke or "obsessed" with it but he groomed him.
Nothing about him is Green flag because he had the control in this relationship. As emperor, he also has bonus power to manipulate or force others to control "the life of uke" the way he decided it is good for him. This is grooming. This is abuse.

Yeah you’re right tbh the only reason I sort of ‘enjoyed’ the work is bc kiel is lowkey insane with what he’ll do to be with Asha, the kid he’s been obsessed with since he himself was a teen. I also do not think it is ‘childhood friends to lovers’ bc it’s shown that he obsessed (literally kidnapped to monopolize) Asha as a child and doted on him like crazy. Asha doesn’t have a frame of reference of how people love bc he and Kiel ‘have always been like that.’ Since this is lowkey how he views love he doesn’t see how weird/twisted the whole thing is (for Kiel it’s always been ends justify the means and the end he worked towards he got (marrying Asha)). His family is ‘irritating’ (acc other comments) bc they see how weird Kiel is and has always been about Asha and want him to recognise it too (justifiably). But Asha honestly is at a point where I do not see him questioning their relationship since it’s one that has been carefully cultivated by Kiel since he himself was a teen and Asha was a child.

didnt he look for him when he first returned? and i think it's more about the fact that he and weiyun are at peace and found to trust each other. it was really bad for yu tong as he refused to let go and continuously blame himself for the accident, and this direction of waiting is the evidence of his growth. the fact that he found peace with himself by going back in time, as well as accepting the fact that everything happened and could not do anything but wait for the time he and weiyun are finally ready is more beautiful for me.

I think it’s bc Weiyun told Yutong that he will come back to him no matter what, that this time, it’s gonna ba weiyun who will find yutong in the OG timeline (the last time it was wy who almost went nuts looking for weiyun and I think wy didnt want yutong to experience the same shit all over again—the anxiety, the hopelessness, him almost going crazy—when he comes back to the current timeline). I think it’s sweet, the trust that they have for each other, that despite all the uncertainties, Yutong believes in Weiyun that he will come back to him. Also he didnt know where Weiyun is and the best thing to do is to wait for him bc thats what he promised him and yutong will hold onto it
