He was trying to psychologically brain wash her through a cycle of abuse and kindness. it's crazy and i might have missed something in the webtoon because i had no idea that he was purposefully traumatizing her for the goal of stockholm syndrome. but it all adds up.

This is the manga that got me into the shoujo world. It will always have a special place in my heart and this special chapter really touched me. So happy that they were able to get an additional happy ending to the original happy ending! I'd love to buy this if I could! I own this precious series already but this special ending is pleasantly out of no where! I also watched the anime and the ost is just so amazingly good. I still listen to it today too! that said, I hope this is only a special ending chapter. THere is one gripe I have about Arina Tanemura and it's the wishy washy tendency of the FLs being stuck between two MLs whom she "loves". Shinshi Doumei Cross (Gentlemen's Alliance Cross) really got to me on that.
the only point of the beginning was to make us witness how shitty this master of hers is. it didn't add a single thing to this story and should not have made the cut just because 80% of manhua webtoons under the sun are doing it. One can easily accomplish a douchebag bullying arrogant master without the sexual abuse

Just a bit of a side note; i don't understand why doctors should be jealous of each other if there are fellow doctors who are making medical advances for the world. It's one thing is it's just doing a bunch of surgeries and having a track record but if you're actually making medical discoveries that will help the world, it seems backwards to hate on each other.
