there was another version that showed the beginning of why she was burned alive. she was basically a shitty queen who was selfish and did whatever she wanted and try to get the prince's love. I think he fell for like a pure, nice, innocent girl and the mc tried to kill her. (something like that) so the prince/king killed her family and her. I dont remember everything but it was something like that.
Holy shit :o no wonder! Kinda reminds me a tiny bit of abandoned empress. It would explain why the king went to such extremes to make the mc's last moments painful.
