He fought tons of monsters around the village and helped the villagers constantly. Sometimes with heavy stuff too. So naturally you'd get stronger. Plus he trained his daughter for 12 years. She's a genius. In other words, he's been sparring with a genius for 12 years. So they both improved a lot from that most likely.
I'm guessing he doesn't realise how much stronger he's gotten over the years, since he's not actively adventuring any more. Otherwise he would have probably been at the top of the AA class, if not the low S class by now I think.
Though it would be even funnier if he could still beat his daughter. Which would mean he's basically SS class without him realising it. xD
