When katou said lilac means first love in flower language i just panicked because the manga's title then would be 'goodbye first lve', so i thought it would end up badly for the two... im super happy that wasnt the case. I love angsty manga and tragic/sad endings but to this story i just wouldnt have handled a ending like that at all.

The way Noah and Dohye's relationship developed was way better than the one he has with Naeyon right now.
Just to make things clear, im an hetero woman, however, even i can see the two boys suit each other a lot better. Naeyon's okay, but she really only started to notice Noah for his looks because she is horny 50% of the time, whereas Dohye just wanted to befriend Noah and that ended up in him discover he likes guys because he felt attracted to another boy resulting then in love.
Im sure the end pair will be the man x woman and i really do like shoujo manga so thats not my problem here.. its that i am losing my interest on the story since now i know the couple with the better development and interesting story wont be the canon one.

first of all cliche can be everywhere especially in "romance" stories if autors use it enough to kill it. just cause it "webtoon/josei" it still have the very typical Shoujo plot, whatever it is a josei or not. the plot is still the same has a shoujo, and not a good shoujo, it actually worse cause the main girl have nothing to offer other then to be horny all the time.
if you don't read enough shoujo, then you won't know I guess, but in a shoujo the girl will always end with her man she full in love first, no matter what, whatever they even fit to each other or not, that the purpose of a shoujo.

Not always, I did read a yaoi that the main first pair didn't end together in the end, even if almost all the comic and plot was about them and their relationship, they didn't stay together and the uke move on to a new love. it is rare but it does happen in yaoi, not sure about Shoujo since a lot of them the main pair did end together, well other then Yuu watase works, but I"m sure there is rare manga's too.
there is also the cliche the main girl can change and heal anything in her "main guy" no matter what it is just from her power love and her been there, what again is bullshit. it does not make sense and not relisitc at all XD
on cheating not really, depend on the manga, in fushigi yuugi the main girl actually was going to move on from the main guy cause he deserve it, not cause she was horny.

I think your misunderstanding my words, im not complementing naeyeon by saying “having balls”, shes one my least favourite characters ive ever read and there are far better female characters then her, what i was trying to say was that naeyeon isnt a shoujo cliche as fm leads in shoujos are usually virginal and are usually stuck on the main male character, which isnt surprising as it is aimed at young female teenagers, its rare that they physically cheat. If i had to chose... well, Renji has done way less psychological damage on him but there are shady things going on with him too and rn he is seeming like a pure manipulator.
