omg guys the art in the last few chapters has been POPPING but even more so the progression of penny's and eclis' relationship has been so tragic..like in the beginning penny was so detached from the world and focused on her own escape (rightfully so) that she was willing to take advantage of the feelings of the easiest person to manipulate (whom, tbf, she DID believe to just be a video game character). she used and discarded him believing this. unfortunately, however, eclis WAS a real person and was also mentally unstable, leading to his obsession with her (which ofc was NOT WARRANTED but given the circumstances it makes sense). now penny has to pay the consequences for the sin she didn't fully know she committed. honestly ik some ppl are saying that either his character fell off or that he's one-sided, and i get that if uve been a big fan of his. but i think that this has been coming for a long time--he and penny were NEVER going to work out (i mean like master/slave dynamic hello what). the signs were always there. all he needed was something to formally push him off the deep end...

Wait wait wait so here's the timeline:
- dohyun and eungyo are together for a while
- dohyun is a serial cheater
- haeda doesn't say anything to eungyo (presuming he knew given that jaeheon knew and haeda and jaeheon are friends)
- for some reason haeda gets dohyun blackout drunk and leaves him in yeonju's house
- jaeheon spreads the rumor to haeda that yeonju is having dohyun's kid (?)
- haeda does something (??? maybe confront dohyun??)
- dohyun goes to live w yeonju overseas
i think this is correct?? we still have no idea rlly what yeonju's perspective/motive is. also im pretty sure eungyo knows about him having a baby at this moment in time but bc of her js being ghosted and being super confused im assuming haeda didn't break the news to her when he found out from jaeheon---at least not immediately.

I'm confused too because in my head the time line is like:
- jaehyun falls in love with eungyo
- dohyun and eungyo date
- jaehyun tells haeda dohyun is a cheating with yeonju
- haeda gets dohyun drunk and leaves him at yeonju's house
- eungyu gets ghosted and dohyun leaves the country after taking responsibility for yeonju's child
I think there's a possibility that dohyun never cheated and it was all made up by jaehyun so he could get eungyo. But I could be wrong

Honestly guys this makes me dislike haeda more and like the ML more...like tell me why u knew the bf of the girl u liked was cheating on her constantly and u didnt tell her??? like bro cmon. that's just not cool at all. honestly yea the ML's a little crazy but yk what????? i have some respect for the fact that he actually did something. and yk what???? he makes her smile and makes her happy. he's got chances to redeem that crazy part of himself but even so he'd never hurt her unlike haeda (who hurt her indirectly by not saying anything) and the bitchass ex. idgaf if his "life was ruined" haeda bro hes gonna be JUST fine and work in some finance job before retiring early like LETS BE SO FRRRRR

every single adult in this story has failed their children. she was just a baby. she was hurt and was looking for the only other person who had given her warmth, and she was rejected. just like nora, just like theo, and the many other children who have suffered in this story. i do think that this chapter brought a complexity to shuri's mother that was not there before in the same way that we got complex views of nora's, theo's and even the neuschwanstein's parents. clearly, her mother has been in shuri's shoes. her mother has felt abuse. her mother, likely, had nobody to turn to. it's a sick, ugly understanding, but it's there, and you see it in her face: i don't think we've ever seen her mother look so motherly (for lack of a better word), even in the previous chapter. her mother almost treats this like a coming-of-age, like shuri has now learned the truth of womanhood, of being married to a man. she's learned about the sacrifices it demands of her. and i think that in her mother's own twisted understanding, she tries to comfort shuri by telling her what she was likely told before, that this is the truth, and that shuri just needs to handle it; to live by the good days and struggle through the bad ones, just as the mother herself has done. it's survival. it's disgusting, and it absolutely does NOT excuse her mother for the awful, despicable things she's done to shuri. it only adds another tragedy to the whole situation: that shuri was not the first, nor will she be the last. she was just a baby who got caught in the crossfire.

it's so lovely seeing so much yearning finally coming to fruition after so so long of waiting..like wow i love slow burns guys.
also side note does anyone know where the last image for akumakira credits comes from??? the one with the guy holding the sparkler???

I think it’s a fanart for “the summer Hikaru died”? It’s a happy fanart too which is a huge tonal shift from the series it’s based on (if I’m right). It’d still recommend it as the anime is currently airing right now too, but just know it’s more of a psychological horror with a sprinkle of doomed yaoi and processing grief mixed in. Phenomenal, but not really “happy sparkler” like the art lol
god hes so fucking tuff
actually scratch that. THEYRE so fucking tuff
