I see people throw the term “green flag” around here for tops doing the bare minimum, but Geonwoo is the actual definition of one. He’s kind, patient and respectful. He’s willing to do anything and everything for Hajin, yet never in a way that feels pathetic. On the surface, he might come off like a typical himbo, but he’s very emotionally intelligent, even more so than Hajin or any other characters.
He’s protective, but never toxic or possessive. When he felt insecure about Hajin’s closeness with Joo-an, he didn’t demand Hajin cut ties with him. Instead, he focused on bettering himself, in his career. He takes full responsibility for his actions, and he’s not a pushover either. When Hajin treated him poorly or took him for granted, he spoke up and held him accountable.
Most characters labeled “green flags” tend to be bland, with vanilla personalities and even blander sex scenes. But Geonwoo flips that expectation on its head. In bed, he completely transforms…every smut scene was steamy. And when he finds out Hajin is into BDSM, he doesn’t get intimidated or weird about it. He immediately does his research, learns, and delivers…all in the same day. That kind of effort is what makes him extremely hot.
There’s no real plot…just a random string of events happening one after another. The characters are all over the place. One moment Haekyeong is so shy and socially awkward, the next he’s cracking jokes with a co star, flirting with hyung, and yelling at his friend. And he’s so easily swayed. It’s not just about being a pushover. He meets Kwonlim, and after a couple of interactions, he’s already crushing on him. If he’s that quick to catch feelings, how did he manage to stay hung up on Kwonyeong for ten whole years?
Kwonyeong is another disaster. His intentions are so vague. One moment he comes off as homophobic, then the next he’s throwing jealous fits when Haekyeong doesn’t pay attention to him. Why? Is he secretly in love? Closeted, maybe? Honestly, that would make sense as he’s constantly overcompensating by sleeping around and dating anyone with a pulse.
And let’s talk about Kwonlim, the supposed “nice guy.” No, he’s a total creep. He manipulates Haekyeong, using his lingering feelings for his younger brother and the fact that they look alike, to get close to him. He memorised Haekyeong’s door code after watching him enter it once? That’s stalker behaviour. And that folder full of Haekyeong’s photos despite barely interacting with him? Obsessive. Setting his password to Haekyeong’s birthday? Cringe. People say the brothers are opposites, but honestly, they’re cut from the same cloth. The older one just hides the crazy better. The younger one’s still deep in his glass closet…nothing short of a good round of rough fucking from a dominant top is gonna shake him loose.
The pacing is all over the place. Sometimes it rushes through, other times it drags. And they got drunk at least three times. Is this the default plot device for BL authors now? Get them drunk = instant confession? Come on. Also, what was that PTSD like flashback Haekyeong had? It looked serious, and I want to know more about it. Same with the older Kwon brother, there’s barely any background on him. Why do the brothers not get along? Is there an actual reason, or is it just manufactured drama for the sake of conflict? At 44 chapters, is it too much to ask for a coherent plot?
When did five years pass? I honestly thought it was just a few months at most. So are they 25 and 33 now? Uh, when they slept together overseas, was that before the five year time jump? Also, was it just a bad scan job, or were those weird slide placements supposed to be some edgy artistic metaphor for self discovery?

So all the attention, the dates, the affection was Jaemin messing with Taeyoon? If that’s the case, Jaemin must be the best actor alive, because he had me fooled too. Or maybe, Jaemin’s feelings weren’t well conveyed at all. All I saw was love and devotion. If the author wanted to sell this twist, they should’ve sprinkled in some hatred or malice earlier, because right now it just comes out of nowhere. At this point, the only explanation is that something’s seriously off with Jaemin mentally. And those yandere expressions are just him tweaking in public.
Oh, and Taeyoon is superficial? What’s wrong with not wanting ugly motherfuckers who sniff your clothes? Sounds pretty reasonable to me.
