The story kind of reminds me of Ghost Nocturne. Cause that one started rather similarly. But at least Jaeshin didnt lie and actually had the power to help (I forgot the mc's name). So I'll give angel baby the benefit of the doubt that he'll be good.

I see many with the theory that he was never a human to begin with, that he is a freak experiment of sorts. Which I think makes the most sense to why he's like that. I don't think he's necessarily a zombie or a Frankenstein's monster type... Like helloooo superhuman yet healthy blood circulation of a lethal concealed weapon ? Maybe he's a test subject used to find a cure which makes it so he was mentally "reborn" and has to re-learn everything again.

I'm having a hard time believing the doctor's story. I feel there is some truth to it, but at the same time it feels like there's more behind it. For one, I can see why he'd refuse to save or abandon anyone that isn't "useful" but idk if he would go as far as killing them so brutally.
Though if he did crush them to death it was to prevent the bodies to re-animate and become zombies. But why wouldn't he have given the doc's wife and kids a chance to prove themselves before killing them? It doesn't make sense because why is he keeping the little kids of the town alive? We can argue that in Guwon's twisted mind they represent the ideal picture of the future of humanity but they are also a liability and take valuable resources to raise. Guwon would have killed them too but he didn't. I do still think Guwon is crazy in the head, but maybe he has a spilt personality of some sort? Half human, half dead person persona that is making act so strange and confusing.
This was brutal to watch. But mostly because unfortunately in a time of crisis, especially with limited resources it will always be every man for themselves. That is just how humanity has been since the start of time. Yes, obviously there will be people with a conscience who wouldn't want to see someone else die, but the commune have been out in the apocalypse living and witnessing all kinds of crazy shit a lot longer than the teacher (plus we dont know his entire history pre Guwon saving him, we only got small bits and pieces and it seems he too has his own loose screws). It might be shocking to someone that hasn't had to live the full extent of those hardships to see an entire colony vote for someone's execution. It isn't right, but when the world has gone to shit and there's zombies and you have limited food and resources, normal laws and morals go out the window. It's not to excuse what happened, but it's a different perspective.
Everyone there has screws loose for a reason and they weren't forced by Guwon into voting for the man to die. We could argue that he has the power to pardon him if he wanted to because he's the leader, but then that means he could lose the "respect" of the group and be accused of betraying them and their unanimous decision. Even the megaphone guy said that it was their commune that created the law and punishment for theft.
I do feel for teacher :( it must be shocking to see the person you like do something so ruthless, especially when the father of innocent kids is involved. It was an unfair situation by regular societal standards.

I think maybe it was Guwon's reaction to the trial that might have ruffled some feathers :( like it seemed he somewhat enjoyed or didn't care as much to have killed the man (like he hit himself in the head and "cried" but not sure that counts for anything), or as if he has done what he did many times before. But he has killed many times before. They all have. And to survive you almost have to kill your empathy. Otherwise we wouldn't have the courage to do what it takes to keep living in that situation.
The dad could have tried to speak to Guwon instead of stealing. Maybe he did and was told no, there isnt enough medicine so the dad got desperate. But he knew the consequences of his actions and took the risk anyway. Id say that the odds of him dying were the same whether he was caught stealing by the town or going outside the walls and facing the zombies to try and get more medicine.
