As u know he has a cool nature...he cares but doesn't show it... He's confident of his son nd even Lee Hwa is confident of himself too...u can see it in his eyes when Lee Bin asked Hwa "are u confident?" .. nd even when he said that he wasn't gonna ask Idea to come back to him if Hwa was in any problem...so , he cares but isn't overprotective...he lets why decide on his own

The guy had major inferiority complex. He thought "C" would be a character who was just like him. Someone who felt inferior and was depressed because no mstter how much they struggled others were simply superior or gifted.
With Ethan he also felt dominated ( throwback to that drinking party) and thought Ethan looked down on him. That plus the fact the fact that Jimmy knew C was Ethan made Dominic feel even more inferior. So he lashed it out on Ethan.

Hum i think that the "original" is yirong bc maaaybe i think his birthname is yirong his parents suddenly had a tragic accident and he was adopted by Lin's family and changed his name. Then maybe they forced him to behave bc of his new statue and this sudden change after a brutal chock from their "maybe parents death" made him lose his mind and creating Lin who's well behaved compared to yirong and yirongs personality is maybe due to that pressure from Lin family.
