Am I the only one that thinks this is weirdly erotic for the setting to be in highschool? Don’t get me wrong, I know that including sensual themes is popular just in general, sex sells and it’s harem. But it’s 2025… you can’t be doing ts anymore it’s problematic. The art style is so pretty and also I can appreciate a female lead with big boobs who also has body fat in other places. She is still pretty thin but compared to other manhwas *cough toawf* this is like 10% more realistic. Like im sorry im tired of seeing female leads be literally emaciated thin on their arms,legs and waist but have the biggest curves on their chest and bum. So unrealistic. At least this author in some panels accentuate some stomach fat and rolls.
This has potential as a concept. I just hate cheating ex boyfriends to justify bad behavior from female leads. Like clearly that perfume scent she smelled was because he’s dating someone else. And clearly his abusive behavior is a plot point to justify her cheating… obviously abuse is very different person to person and I think the way it’s portrayed is very similar to IRL Korean fboys and abusive men. But clearly he was painted to be this perfect guy until the story started… that doesn’t make sense. Theres no development there’s no reasoning it’s just a plot point so she can go fuck the hair salon guy.
Please PLEASE PLEASEE PUT HIM IN HIS PLACE. I really hope all these frustrating moments where he is an asshole to her is just building up tension so she can get revenge. Obviously they build a relationship… but I hope he gets some good character development because right now he’s that typical traumatized chaebol male lead.

Guys on a real note I don’t like this. It doesn’t handle the female leads trauma well at all. Maybe I’m too early but you can’t live almost 3 decades under immense religious oppression and pressure and then completely go against that with no introspection. Read that again bc there’s always someone in my replies misunderstanding my criticisms. I’m not saying it’s impossible for her to have a one night stand despite her religious trauma. I’m saying the author is missing a key part of the transition which is that really crucial ***introspection.**** Even if she WASNT raised religiously, being faced with death in 6 months would cause similar complexities. I mean all humans know is life and being told you’re estimated death date knowing you can’t do anything is hard to wrap your head around. Everything about her situation is hard to wrap your head around but the only way it’s acknowledged is in relation to the male lead. Notice how after she met him most of her thoughts are like “we are so opposite” “I have to keep my distance” all the complexities of the plot are boiled down to become really simple. Look at the difference between the female leads internal monologue when she finds out she’s dying vs the male leads internal monologue when he realizes he likes her. There’s a huge difference in the substance and the amount of substance. Male leads complex feelings towards eunsong is so much more detailed than her own feelings about her death. Isn’t that crazy??? She’s dying and the author couldn’t afford her 1 full chapter without a man getting in the way or being involved in her thought processes. Meanwhile he gets so much screentime realizing how toxic he was to his past lovers, realizing how eunsong is playing his games, giving up on her for all of 2 seconds, making out with his ex fiancee to realize he needs to peruse eunsong… eunsong isn’t even the main character to the story about her. It’s all about him him him. He’s selfish and narcissistic but he uses all that bad energy to love on eunsong. When she dies it’s all gonna be about him him him. He’s gonna go back in time, he’s gonna fix her, he’s gonna use all this obsession to fix her life and the female lead is just gonna lie there and take it (literally) Like cmon girl you’re emotionally detached enough to keep repeating the same mantra “we are no strings attached” but does absolutely nothing about it. She says it’s no strings attached but she’s moving like she’s compelled by god to keep this “relationship” healthy. STAND UP GORLLL LIVE YOUR LIVE SLEEP WITH HIS FINE ASS BROTHER, SLEEP WITH HIS BROTHER AND HIS WIFE. SHIEEETT SHE NEEDS TO SLEEP WITH MORE PEOPLE. I’m tired of seeing female leads being second leads to their own stories. I just finished watching the first frost cdrama and while I also have my own qualms about the drama it handled the female leads trauma exceptionally, I can’t accept anything less anymore. Either represent these traumatic situations that happen to people properly or don’t write. I don’t think this is the manhwas problem I’m 99% sure it’s the novels problem but… sigh here we are thx for reading my rant
Guys if you can’t handle angst don’t read this. Just because it’s smut doesn’t mean these are stories to goon to, these stories are a variety of romance stories that happen to have smut in them. The sex and romance between the main characters is supposed to enhance the story. I’m so tired of ppl blindly criticizing saying this part is shit. You were not the target audience.

Guys really unpopular opinion what incheol did wasn’t that bad to me. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like his revenge was justified. Manipulation is bad and not excusable but his plan worked… I mean his parents offed themselves. If I was in his situation I would have caused ww3 like my parents mean so much to me I would go even further than incheol. Also, I feel like I read a manhwa with the opposite plot where the protagonist actually was the one who got revenge like incheol and I liked the story. You gotta do what you gotta do and while I sympathize with FL, there was no way out. Literally everything in her life all her experiences and how she was treated led to this moment. If she was raised even 10% better than she was, if her parents didn’t hate her for being a girl or doing diving, or if she turned out like other traumatized chaebol kids I feel her story would have turned out so differently. I am excited to see the female leads revenge tho. I am a little bit tired of the whole underdog who gets revenge stories. It’s the same formulas over and over again, but I think the author did a good job at making readers sympathize with fl.
I was gonna skip reading this because I thought it was boring and lowkey a little bit unsettling. After reading the spoilers I realized that the unsettling feeling was right. Wow. Damn. I might actually read the novel too.
