Is 8 million copies sold not alot in this industry?
Sounds like a lot? And it's only 7 volume so each vol. had to at least sell 1 mill each.
I guess making it into an anime is sign of success like the brother in law? Or maybe it was translation error?
To put this into perspective, manga that sell over 10 mil typically are from established artists, are Shonen manga that appeared in the top 3 Shonen manga magazines, have been ongoing for over 5 years, have an anime, and have over 10 volumes.
O-ME-GAD! Is basically a (slightly trashy) romantic comedy. The closest manga that I could find to it is Oh My Goddess! which ran for over 10 years with 48 volumes. It sold 25 million copies. There is a manga that is still ongoing that has not sold more copies than this. And Oh My Goddess was not even close to be as (slightly) trashy as OMG lol
The manga industry is incredibly oversaturated and Sachio was lucky enough to be published in a magazine. If he has to go independent it will be even harder for him to sell.
I see the dad is really getting fed up with his son behavior
I'm worried about what happens when they come back. Will the father send him away without telling his son.
Poor boy is already aware of the class difference I bet the dad will not hold back when voicing his opinion that their relationship is impossible and would only hinder his son's future :c
I hope he's at least not a completele ass about it and makes him feel like shit for not being noble or wealthy
Wow, you're really great at reading characters, aren't you
His father’s worry for his son, the boy and their future, but it’s not right to keep someone against their will. In the end, it will be the son who lets him go, because that’s the right thing to do
Reading people must be your specialty - especially when you completely miss the point.
Wow harsh ....anyway......I know they’ll end up together, and the father isn’t really going to be against it — he wouldn’t have started this whole “game” if he truly meant to be an asshole in the end. The only thing I’m not sure about is whether the main lead will remain the primary heir or if the brother will take over instead.

Not it cutting to the coworker just watching the drama unfold HAHAHA
