I came back after a long time to see if this finally ended and if there was any character development but NOPE. Same stupid ML and FL. I get it she was hurt yadda yadda but she’s still with him so either just be happy with him or leave him. Not point in crying about the same thing over and over.
I have read a few chapters and so far don’t like it. She forced him to marry her and then just treated him like crap. Then I see the cliche of him now liking her because she doesn’t like him? Doesn’t seem like love but more like Stockholm syndrome since he’s stuck with her anyways.
It’s far more complicated than that. The manhwa does an absolute crap job on portraying the complexities of the story. In fact, many things are wildly simplified. He doesn’t just suddenly likes her? I guess it would be very unclear for readers some of the things that appeared in the early chapters. If you keep reading, it will become clear that a lot of things aren’t told upfront but later. Like peeling onions. For example, he has a dream where she’s crying and seducing him around ch 6 or 7. That dream is actually very important as its a hint to a hidden story. More will also be revealed later on his feelings through childhood flashbacks and by his parents. So lots of things aren’t just to be taken at a glance.
I hope you actually continue reading and understanding the reason of ines's action. She doesn't have any choice and decided that carcel is the perfect path for her so that she could have a happy ending and when you understand why and what has she suffered in her past life ESPECIALLY HER FIRST LIFE then you'll understand and pity her.. and carcel actually has far back then loved her and when I said back then, I meant by her past lives and ever since they we're engaged. It's just that carcel hasn't figured out his feeling over ines yet (in this life time)and when he did, he's now head over heels for her which is very cute..

These last few chapters have really gone downhill. No progression at all and the mc is dumb.
It’s been on hiatus for a couple years now and I haven’t found anything about the author coming back to finish it so I feel like that’s it

Nope if you read the last chapter the author put they can’t wait to continue the series for the next volume… but there is no next volume because then it went on hiatus
I’m not sure how I feel about this because it feels way too similar to “ Tales of Reincarnation in Maydare: This World's Worst Witch.” And some parts are a little cliche/childish or maybe I’ve read too many similar mangas that I’m over it.
At the moment, it doesn’t really. Aside from the mc having similar appearance. The suppose heroine is not the mc former friend, the mc is just intelligent but doesn’t have magic capabilities (yet).

Okay so I read on another site that the brother does end up getting that girl pregnant and marries her. However after she has the baby he gives it to his sister (the FL) to take care of and never lets his wife see the baby and basically locks her up. As for the FL she accidentally signs some papers or something and her brother ends up selling the ML to some where far away since he is still a slave. Which causes a misunderstanding that he thinks it was the FL who sold him. Then once he is sold FL does end up marrying that creep and the ML returns and thinks the baby she is taking care of is hers which causes more misunderstandings. So if all these spoilers are true I’m gonna be so mad and hopefully they do get some revenge at some point but it doesn’t seem to be happening any time soon at least in the novel

I haven’t read this bc I like to know everything before I read something new and iffy so I don’t waste my time, and from this spoiler and a few others, I conclude the female characters are all naive dumbies and the male characters (minus ml) are all grotesque… I won’t be wasting my time thank god for spoilers
