I keep going from feeling so proud of Xiaxi for making everything work out each mission to feeling so sad whenever it shows how the men she's left behind are all heart-broken after she leaves them. Now, some more than others sure--the Crown Prince was far more likable as a human than either of the 2 brothers but still, ch175 just made me wanna cry.

I think that chapter was super interesting. That moment when the system thought "is her goddess power awakening" has a lot of foreshadowing and implications. By acting as a villain/catalyst maybe the System really is trying to turn her into a literal goddess. The system keeps putting her in these impossible situations and also tempting her with easy way outs and power (when it asked why she'd leave the emperor when she could become queen, or when it asked her why she was wasting time abolishing slavery when it would make her task more difficult).
Yes, she has to make the target fall in love with her, but she doesn't do it by being beautiful or seducing them. What makes them fall in love with her is the way she understands them, helps them grow, and improves the world around them. That kind of love is a lot more like the love for a divine being than a love for a seductress. When she leaves, they are always better off than they would have been if they had never met her.
It makes me wonder what the end game is. Is there some kind of supreme being that Xiaxi is being groomed to replace or fill the position of?

I have caught a few things I never noticed before...like how Xiaxi's eye color is different before she turns from "frumpy" to "full-beauty" (they are duller pink-orange). How I wish her ability to lose a noticeable amount of body-fat by exercising 5h a day for a few days straight was realistic/healthy. And how the last panel of ch 11 has her "Strong" hat spelled "Strog". So many chapters left that I am excited to see what else I notice!

Just how many "jumps" does Xiaxi make up to now? I read up to the desert chapters where one of the concubines are plotting with the robe/hooded blue haired pretty dude who's obviously "evil" but still helping with medicine. After this, I think I ran out of chapters so now that I am back--just how much further are things? I heard there's a vampire arc, something about a guy named Venice and so before I jump back in at the beginning I just wanna know what I'm in for lol.
I went into this expecting a story like "Star x Fanboy" but this was far more emotionally thrilling! The characters took a while to memorize due to the number of names and there were times I couldn't tell who was speaking very clearly but over all this was a magnificent slow-burn story! I like how the usual family drama, while mentioned, was not something that took over the entire plot~ I feel like because of that, there is room for Jimmy's story to grow. I loved the ending as it was SO satisfying!
TLDR: Read this manga if you like slow-burning BL, it is beautiful. I finished it in 2 nights.
