it got kinda weird pacing toward the end there. didn't care for the forced conflict from the nurse. she coulda easily left them alone cuz 1, she's in a relationship with a student who's a minor, 2, she'd risk her job if found out. she has literally ZERO benefits from pursuing him so i dont see why she did what she did except for some sort of conflict. and honestly i would have liked her more if she just acted like the adult that she is and backed tf off instead of pulling that idiotic elementary level bullshit.

Spoilers? Idk. Decided to read this now that there's an anime and uhhhhh I got questions.
Are we for real for real for sure this isn't seinen? Just finished ch 15 and the Shiki/mom spider parts. And uhhhhh not sure which shounen boy/girl will read those parts and think "wow badass!" like when they see Deku Detroit smash badass. I'm over 20 and even I thought that part was wild for a shounen. Like....??? Lmao then I read comments about village women raping a child that's just started ejaculating or smth. ....this ain't something you commonly find in shounen, let's be HONEST here (or...is it common lmaoooo idk I dont read enough shounen to make a round assumption). I'm side-eyeing that shounen tag for now, it's sus. Like this got the shounen vibe for the most part, the hippity-i'm-basic-shounen-happy, but damn, that spider mom rape witnessed by a child part was an escULATION to say the least.
Edit: okay I finished reading. The snow village part was wild as well. There's a lot of things in this manga that isn't shounen appropriate imho (like mentions of wanting to have sex, rape, and cussing). In essence it has all the components of a shounen but with a little extra spice not appropriate for the shounen audience. Personally I wouldn't recommend this for younger audiences.
It's like if Tanjiro goes back home to find his whole family dead, but not only is Nezuko dead, her clothes have been torn exposing her breasts :) and then it's never talked about again. And then one day Nezuko's memories come back and we see a glimpse that she's actually been raped and we vomit because that's not a pretty sight :D
i guess the only shonen-like here are the action scenes of the characters and because the main is a boy? they did add a horror tag but i do agree that there are chapters that are not fit for that shounen tag. it is quite disturbing to read those gruesome rape scenes. the kitsune's warped personalities added with the art gives a really chilling and creepy vibes, not appropriate for kids.
Really late reply, but definitely agree. Also wish that they aged the characters up, feel like it would better suit the situations, and because like the sexualization of kids is just ehhhh

I know right! I had to recheck her age. It isn’t ideal but I wish they would have at least gone for the 1000 year old loli route instead of like legit 8 year old (⊙…⊙ )
Thank you for your comment. I was considering watching the anime so I came here to read reviews. Can’t believe they sexualized frickin CHILDREN?! And there are scenes where kids are being raped?! That’s horrible!! Seinen or not, fiction or not, creators should never draw child pornography. Leave the kids out of it But thanks for your comment, I just avoided setting off my triggers.
