Not a fan. :( Art and concept were both fine, but I found it lacking in execution. Pacing felt off, plot threads felt tangled, and character development wasn't the best.

The overall quality of manga on Renta feels like it's below the industry standard (since their library is digital, the more content they have the more money they'll make - so it makes sense that their strategy is quantity over quality), so I should have expected this but I'm still disappointed.

For being both an omegaverse story and a webtoon with less than 20 chapters, this really blew it out of the park!

Switching is already rare but in the omegaverse I think it's almost unheard of. Plus a manly uke. Nicely refreshing take for the genre.

And even though it was less than 20 chapters it still managed to have good character arcs and growth. Other authors should take note! This was really well done.

Overall I enjoyed and would recommend!

Did not expect Takumi with his hair tired back! Damn! Hotness over 9000!

And so many spin-off potentials with this one! Shiratori bossman needs someone to take him down a peg and turn him into a begging, blushing uke. Then we need the story of how Maria-chan and the newbie AV actor got together. And finally Kai's little bro is smoking hot and we need his story too.

To give us a rare feminine seme and then not show us the good stuff - blasphemy!!

Also A-san was the real behind-the-scenes MVP of the whole manga. What a smart, loyal guy. I want his story next!

The ukes both had all the best facial expressions! My heart! This was so good!

The pain in my heart when noriyuki rejected him the first time was so real. They're both so precious! This was so good and the dicks were *chef's kiss* deliciously drawn!

This was soo good! Now I just need Kouta and Makoto's story!

I was so happy to read Hae-in's story since he's the only decent guy in the whole series, and then he ends up with a jerk!

And then I was actually getting invested in Bumjoon's story and wanted to see how they resolve the conflict in the plot and it suddenly ends??!

I was also hoping to get some side stories about Hwanung's friends since they all seemed interesting, but there aren't any. :(

I hate all of them lmao except hae-in he's precious.

Bumjoon is a morally questionable asshole stepping over boundaries just because he knows jinho will let it slide.

Jinho is too airheaded that it's fucking annoying. He just goes with the flow and doesn't enforce boundaries which is disrespectful to his partner and a disservice to himself.

And huanung is my least favorite of all of them. He reminds me of every asshole guy I've ever met who pushed my boundaries and harrassed or assaulted me just because I was nice to them. He's a creep and I can't fucking stand him. He was self-aware of his own bad nature and the author sprinked a lot of comedy over it to make it seem acceptable, but at the end of the day it's still harrassment and assault. And then blaming Jinho for his actions ("it's his own fault I assault him because he's so cute"). Ugh gross!!! Gtfo!

Despite its shortcomings, this was still a really good, satisfying read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Characters were strong and voicy and complex. Plot felt unique and mostly had good pacing. Art was gorgeous.

I also have a thing for music stories (blame my old obsession with Nodame) so that was an extra treat.

Some things I wished for:

1. Slower pacing on the ending. It felt rushed and sudden.

2. A few chapters of timeskip in Germany so we can see their growth and happiness.

3. More backstory on professor Kang so we can understand his character motivations better.

4. More backstory on the professor's relationship with Jaehyun so we can see how Jaehyun's wrist was injured and connect better emotionally with everything happening in his life. Loving someone who abuses you is really complex and I wish we could have dove into that a bit more.

5. More backstory on Seojin so we could better connect with the emotional drivers behind his need for revenge.

Generally people consume stories because of the way they make us feel. I guess I just wanted more emotional depth to this story so that I could get more out of it and have a deeper experience reading it.

I still got a really good experience reading it, but I think there was a lot of potential for an even better experience and I'm sad we didn't get it.
