mc is so pretty, i am dropping this with tears in my eyes. this is goodbye. it hurts knowing i'll never see his beautiful face again.

this started off strong but went downhill so fast. just imagine what you could have done with a revenge plot like this without including rape between the mcs in the first 10 chapters. enemies to lovers in a dramatic, emotional slow burn. mc wants to make stoic ml fall in love with him/seduce him but it takes sooo much time (ml doesn't let mc get close at all) and in that time they get to know each other, grow to like each other, understand that they're both people worth existing... even if it's hard to make a cold-blooded murderer likeable, if you'd put some brain juice into it, you could at least try to make him redeem himself as best as possible. you don't have to make him become a pitiful wimp, let him remain a stoic asshole for all i care. a stoic asshole who has come to his senses, who feels remorseful for the things he has done. then, after months of getting to know each other, after months of fleeting touches, meaningful looks, building trust, when ml finally has melted down so much that he lets mc get close, mc finds himself at a fork in the road. he's torn because his heart still wants revenge but his heart also wants ml to live. will he poison him? will he not? the big climax. ah, if only.

now, we have this. whatever it is. 2nd ml is obviously the lesser evil out of the two shitheads and at least mc seems to have actual feelings for him. but 2nd ml also is just a smidge too invested in his own agenda (fucking mc) for my liking. even if he's more gentle than ml, he crossed boundaries too (putting his fingers in unasked, just to name one). the only way to end this story to make it make sense is to kill that rapist bastard and make mc get with the 2nd ml, but i know letting the hot fuckass male lead win is more important than logic for these braindead authors.

at the end of this i was like “we got consent, height difference, great art AND a goal. i’m sold” and then i remembered that this is a one shot
