His brainwaves is fused with the device, it will take lots of times and detailed effort to investigate, analyses, and long process to separate them without causing severe damages (take Sword Art Online as example).
Wiping out the game, is equally as wiping out the game developers team, leaving some of them jobless, because the damage won’t stop with only them, but also the stock prices.
It also effect investors, imagine you as a representative of your company to invest on this game with the budget of million dollars, but the game was wiped out only after couple weeks since it was released, which means your money you spent is gone without anything good for return. Now, what your company gonna do with you? They either fired you or make you to take the responsibility for the loss of the money.
This is the most futuristic game from the best Electronics/Entertainment company in the world, a lots of others companies trust to invest on this game with millions or billions dollars. If this game wiped out, imagine how many hundreds/thousands of people will get laid off from their jobs...
A super high Artificial Intelligence is hard & expensive to produce, and this game have lots of AI with different setting to work as NPC. That’s much money you will never able to imagine.

It is not as simple as “just wipe out the game”.
The game company was asking MC’s help nicely and even taking care of his real body properly, is already good enough...
You know, if MC refused to help, the game company is very capable of threatening him with the safety of his real body.

I assume he will die or his brain will have some problems if that happens since his brainwaves are fused to the game and device. Furthermore, if they delete the game that's like wasting 8 years of working on that game, And it would also affect the people who work on that game and play on the game. Also, it will take lots of time and precise attempts to review, analyses, examine and test how to separate the guy without creating or causing critical injuries so that would be a long-drawn process.

Thats awkwardly tru... but we all know Aseph is supposed to be that way cuz he is twisted since before and it was why he died in the book so... not romantized at least LOL
AND there are plenty of yaoi and josei that starts with rape and sexual harassment as a way to express they love and they never discuss about it.. Its kinda refreshing that Zay knows he isnt healthy and want to be better and Aseph himself knows he isnt good as well

it's not that romanticized though, the plot clearly show why he become this way and why he act this way. and the FL still in love with him knowing all his history so it's not romantic or that toxic. she chooses to be with him so..
