I wish Mudouka did more combat, at least defending, since he got those blessings

He did got blessing but they're all lower blessings, he can maybe beat low Ranking monsters like goblins and stuff, but his familiar wanna hunt strong monsters whuch are mostly rank A or S , he can't help them in it, or he might end up getting seriously injured, and plus he doesn't like to fighti mean in reality I won't either, I'd much rather cook then fight when we are so used to living in a peaceful society

Then he would be overpowered with overpowered familiars. He doesn't like to fight, so it's good that he's not too OP because OP characters that don't like to fight and want to live a peaceful life end up fighting like it is some rite of passage. So, it is good that he has a crazy overpowered beast who lives (instinct) to fight (and eat).

Is this worth the read? I'm on chapter 36 and the characters are so thoughtless, especially the FL

Hmm...it wasn't bad or anything, there were definitely intruiging moments, but for me personally---it was difficult for me to get into, and the characters were overall not endearing enough to invest in. The circumstances of Estelle is interesting, but either due to the translation or the presentation, I dunno how to describe it, other than that it felt a bit hollow and lifeless; and I wish the dialogues had a bit more personality to them than just anger.
But that's just my impression.
It's kinda stupid for first to put the blame on himself but I guess he can't do it on the deceased. It's not like he knew his brother was a vampire and he wouldn't have thought to call him if it wasn't for his mom. He also had nothing to do (directly) with his brother's jealousy towards him. I guess trauma is what caused him to feel responsible
