I feel the same way about fl. She can come off as thoughtless, just apathetic to the situation seeing it in ways that fit only her needs and false narratives. She casually jumps to conclusions over rational reasoning. I’ve seen this in other stories where the fl doesn’t bother to query why ml behaves the way they do and they just internalize it as if it’s always directed towards themselves. It really does get annoying. It makes the story less relatable, it doesn’t feel natural. Because just like you, my immediate irl response is to just ask lol What’s so hard about asking “why”?
