I am so intrigued by this story, the premise is gripping, a bit different than the usual, and so well executed.
- darker themes / subject than the average historical manhwa (thank god)
- setting that is MEDIEVAL-like and not Versailles-like (which is becoming rare. Remember, if the palaces of your alternative universe look like Versailles or Buckingham, don’t call the setting “Medieval” because it is not the right time period. Hence, all the isekai and duchess stories are not Middle-Age inspired but Renaissance / modern time inspired)
- no game-like magic that makes everything easier for the characters lol (at least for now)
- beautiful artstyle that fits the mood (not too shiny) and it conveys very well the violence of certain situations. Also I like the noses ! Usually girls have little to no noses, lol, thank you artist-nim for this change.

I read everything in one go and it’s a shame the story goes downhill from the fight between mc and ml. It lasts for more than 10 chapters for no good reason and we barely learn anything about the rest of the plot in the meantime. Plus, it was a bit sad and upsetting to see mc running after ml who shunned him several time in a rude way.
Before this « arc », the plot was enjoyable though so I hope it’s gonna be good again

Yeah It does feel a little slow but I mean the ml already turned into his human form before episode 50. I think it’s because of the slow ass updates.
So a lot of people appreciate this free webcomic being uploaded here because they are more comfortable with the layout of mangago and the non-cut chapters...

In the original game the demon king has several women, including some that he made pregnant. Knowing that, when mc and ml (demon king) met a woman, mc tells ml that he can take her as his woman and that he doesn’t mind. Ml burst into anger : “I- I’m against polygamy !!!!”. He says he’s fine with the mc... « Because you are wonderful !! ». He says he likes his hair, eyes and compliments a ton the mc in an angry voice x’D uwu
After that the mc has an hilarious reaction as if he feels pleasure from ml being angry hehe
