I read this more than 10 years ago thinking it was open-ended, but now I'm pretty certain about the ending. The photos scattered throughout the volume are Dai and Jahee traveling together. The guy at the end was Dai, but no longer identifies himself as Dai (a name synonymous with Death).
The biggest change in my perception though has definitely been about Eunhyung. As a kid I was really frustrated by her actions especially at the end, but now I just want to hold her and let her know she is loved and cherished. She was so hurt. I noticed all the photos were usually of Dai and Jahee, but one of them was of Eunhyung smiling and I'd like to think that's what people see when they remember her by or that's her in heaven.
The character building for this story is actually really good, you see a boy developing into a man and a man who was defeated by his background grow into a leader in his own right. I hope more people give it a chance.
Its been a while since I've read something that I genuinely can't stop reading. I think the author has done a great job in making u want to root for all the Class D students. I feel like there is so much more to learn about everyone, I don't want it to stop XD.
Me too!! Every time I see its been updated I get so happy that I get to read more of the story, and everytime I finish a chapter I'm always looking forward to the next one!
