Sir Eric and marianne lack ROMANTIC chemistry imo. On their own, they are two great characters, together they are almost written out of character just to force romantic tension. With he second ml, it feels more natural and makes sense. usually idc who the mc ends up with as long as it's well written but in this case it will be unsatisfying.
