The plot makes sense and well written but I just can’t bring myself to ship the mc and ml. It gives me the ick with the reminders Abel was his father figure. I wish they could have stayed found family
It was at first but I like the way they wrote it that he fell for Captain Commander as someone else, as a different man altogether, not as the child he raised for two months. The person he loves as a man is different from the child he loved, so much so that he didn’t recognize him at all. I feel like disconnect makes all the difference.
If author turned up the notch on mc’s exhaustion a bit more with that would have been peak. how it could fuel the insecurity/drive to both succeed for stability as well as the want to stay kidnapped. Maybe he even receives treatment as well he couldn’t afford to get checked out and having the time to rest saves his life or something. That would be a mind fuck

In less nutshell, he's a man that's always been clear about his will and personality, never lied, never went soft, and can still be head over heels for MC. He's consistent. He can be a guide and a partner for Yunshin without being less in either role.
It's an uncommon situation and personality that I've never read, and I'm invested, even after that shit.
I didn't like him before, but i loved him when he fell for yunshin. It was adorable how he couldn't keep his hands to himself and was did things he wouldn't normally do(which annoyed his but he did them nonetheless). Also he's consistent with his kisses XD (i love when my fav couples kiss). All in all, he became more tolerable and likable once he fell in love and like the comment before me said, his personality didn't change.
