Damn this really messed me up in more ways than I can describe. It is my first time reading something by Harada though I was already aware that their works are not for the faint of heart so ^^;;
Also can I add that I love Maiko, like that girl was my only source of comfort throughout the story. She is so supportive. Like in real world terms the way she helped Yui is not the right way to go about it cause the whole situation is fucked (someone call the police, anyone?). But it was good that she was so discreet and understanding of Yui regardless. And she turned out to be lesbian, iconic.

Yes it sucks that they are brothers but it is literally in the title and the cover implies they will end up together. You have all the signs there, and therefore have the choice to not read. Everyone has every right to complain when they don't like something, but to say "I hope it doesn't turn into incest" seems rather silly because it is obvious from the start that it will be. It's like going to see a horror/slasher movie and saying "I hope no one dies" or going to a musical and saying "I hope there is no singing or music". Silly silly silly.

Chiharu is shitty tbh he has no respect for Ikumi, just sees him as his personal property and has no consideration of his feelings. Next, I hate when manga introduces characters as really bad ass and self sufficient but as soon as the intended "love interest" enters the picture they become entirely weak and reliant on them, can't fend for themselves at all. Like Ikumi is supposed to know how to fight and all that, but now its always Chiharu that has to save him from everything. Ikumi literally tells Chiharu he hates doing it with him, but Chiharu don't give a crap. Im still reading this to see how the author intends to make Chiharu redeem himself, which I doubt will happen lol

So I commented this theory on another thread and I just want to hear people's thoughts. I notice many suspect that Seungho's father might have assaulted Seungho when he was younger. But I have two other theories.
1) Seungho was assaulted/molested, but by the other nobles/politicians that Seungho's father worked with. And the father either turned a blind eye, told him to get over it, or didnt believe him in order to save face and protect their family's position and status.
2) Same as theory one, except the father was totally disgusted and disgraced by what happened that he framed the other nobles with treason. How else did the Yoons manage to escape execution and live on normally? It was basically just a huge scandal waiting to happen and Seungho's father took it upon himself to try and fix the issue. But instead of trying to help his son, he just cast him away basically blaming him for everything. And Seungho is the stubborn type who takes shit literally. If his father thinks he is a filthy whore that sleeps with nobles, that is exactly what he will be. He will give his father reason to treat him the way he does.

That could possibly be correct, there's always a reason why a certain individual is acting that way. Yoon must've had a traumatic experience. The abuse wouldn't cut through deep to the point he's going to rape someone, So maybe what you said is correct. Yoon must've been raped not once, countless of times. It's just how Sexual Abuse works (sometimes, I just read too many Yaoi mangas)

I just think this way based on his comment of how thinking of old bearded men makes him shudder. Im thinking he had to be abused/groomed from a very early age, introduced to sexual acts and such to the point that it was almost normalized. I mean, Seungho even said that when he was young he would tease the servants by running a brush over their naked bodies. That is definitely not normal behavior for a kid. Im strongly leaning towards my second theory. It just makes the most sense. I dont think his father was the one to have sexually abused him. Seungho is the type to go to the extreme when people spread rumors about him. If people think he is doing it with a lowborn, he does it with a lowborn. Nakyum says he hates him so much he could die, Seungho is willing to do the worst in order for Nakyum to have a good reason to hate him. So in this case, if his father turned his back on his own son, and placed blame on him despite being a victim I can see Seungho rebelling against his father and being the man his father says he is. Thus when he told his brother he was only living by his father's principles.

I reread this last night and when I read it the first time, your first theory is what I thought too. Another theory that I think it could be is that Seungho fell in love with a man and it was all consensual, but his father/family found out and maybe killed the man he loved so that is why he is so closed off and doesn’t want to love anyone. Maybe he was a low-born like Na-kyum. But then the cute Na-kyum came along and changed things. There definitely is some past family trauma and it can be a couple of different things. I’m itching to find out what it is.

And that could explain a lot why Seungho dislikes his father, maybe even his brother was neglectful that's why he hasn't shown much emotion in his brother's arrival, Other than annoyance, He's pretty stone cold. That could really mean something. Seungho is purposely being ignorant and that might a hint about something. I doubt that he'd act the same if it weren't for abuse, I know deep inside, Seungho's a good person. He just had a hard time showing it and that's fine. I doubt that if Seungho hadn't grown up in that type of environment, He'd be such a nice person who can treat people with respect.

Seungho has a moderately sized harem of young nobles so the debauchery in the upper class is real but I have a hard time with theory#1 bc I can't imagine a weak Seungho...I know people aren't born string alphas but still. ...Theory two works but who says Yoon doesn't want to find love in the present? He's a bit to passionate to be dead inside.
All we know is he is a dom tachi and he had some trauma that affects how he sleeps....maybe he saw someone he loved being molested...maybe his little brother?

I didn't necessarily imply he was dead inside. It just seems that Seungho is the type to give what people expect. I really do not think his issues have anything to do with his brother being abused or his father being the abuser. Im still pretty adamant about theory 2. Although someone mentioned the possibility of an ex lover of his getting killed, which also makes sense.
Yes as you said, debauchery in nobility exists. But, I was thinking it was something that occurred to Seungho since childhood.
Here is an explanation I gave:
I just think this way based on his comment of how the sight of old bearded men makes him shudder. Im thinking he had to be abused/groomed from a very early age, introduced to sexual acts and such to the point that it was normalized. I mean, Seungho even said that when he was young he would tease the servants by running a brush over their naked bodies. That is definitely not normal behavior for a kid. Honestly, I dont think Jihwa is such a bad guy. He just hangs around crappy people lol like he didnt ever consider on his own accord to kill Nakyum. The little devil of the nobles is the one that got to him while Jihwa was in such emotional distress. And I can tell Jihwa is still hesitant of going through with it. I hope he does the right thing and calls off the assasin, or just has him kidnapped at least but not hurt him. I just dont think he is capable of doing something that terrible. Tbh Jihwa deserves better, and he needs better taste in men xD Like, honey, you're cute as hell. You shouldn't cry over some man that don't give a shit about you.
Ffs I was cheering for you, papi MD. T__T
I get that he is pressed that Chanwoo rejected him but THIS AINT IT, CHIEF. Like okay I was lowkey mad Chanwoo would turn down the whole ass respectful meal that was MD. But it's his right to choose if he wants to date him or not, even if the choice seemed really stupid at the time. Notice how I said AT THE TIME. Cause now I lost respect points for MD lolll. If he really liked Chanwoo he wouldn't guilt him into doing stuff with the guy that only used him for his own convenience. Yes, Chanwoo technically did agree to keep going along with it but he is still hesitating cause he just got his feelings hurt, man. MD could have proven to be the bigger person if he rejected Seunghyun right then and there for hurting the person he claims to like. Instead he chose to act petty and cold and gross. Tsk tsk. And I know people are hating on Chanwoo for rejecting MD, but again they had a contract that made their relationship strictly sub/dom. From the start Chanwoo was clear he didnt want anything romantic with MD. MD is the one pushing despite knowing Chanwoo's feelings about the matter. As a spectator that is frustrating, but you can't force someone to feel the way you do bro. You can't force love.
