Buttt yanu did mention he doesn't like old or too young so eyra age now just perfect.

unless he is killed he will die when the dragon/mate does. Dragons live a looong time but not forever. If you recall the special kiss/xxx he told him this right after that chapter

Apparently, dragons can revive their mates once if they died and the process is that the dragons will swallon the dead body of thier mates and vomit them but it will change the appearance of thier mate qhere their mate's eyes will change according to the color of the dragon and sometimes it will caus ethier mates memories or personalities to change so yanu teally want to avoid that
