I always felt mangas and books were a whole different world where we could see and experience things we normally can't on real life.
It's just that to some people the gangrape was way too much, to others it was nice and to me it was kinda "meh", I don't REALLY enjoy it, but since it's something so common on yaoi stories, I stopped feeling THAT shocked (then again, on YAOI STORIES, real life situations are different), because if you stop to think, almost every yaoi has a situation with the uke clearly saying "No, I don;t want it", but the seme completely ignores and does it anyway.
So yeah... Let people have their fetish guys....

I loved the manga, I hated George and I wished Aizawa had showed more about how the heck Yukari got together with Tokumori (I understood they ended up together).
I know people will hate because I dont like george, its just that he has these crazy demands like "stop complaining", "dont be so jealous over a friend", "youre stupid cause you thought sex was more important than your modelling carreer".
Its so... frustrating. He doesnt understand that it's ridiculous to demand of someone to change into what you think its your ideal.
And Yukari was playing his game (this is really infuriating), why should she work so hard to change herself for him?

I feel you I didn't like George in the beginning because of his behavior towards yukari then I kinda saw that he just wanted her to be able to follow what she wanted to do and that was to become a model and only she was able to this and be able to make decisions on her own. Then my dislike of him completly dissolved when he had a tear in his eye when they had to say goodbye because he truly did cherish her.
I don't know, I get what you said, but at the same time, the way he imposed this is idea of "independent woman" kinda pisses me off.
The tear in his eye didn't anything for me, probably because for me one final act doesn't justify the his previous acts (the ones I'm disgusted with).

Yukari at one point said that whenever she sees George, she wants to hit him and kiss him at the same time -- and wondered if the way that George acted was about the same.
It wasn't explored very much - but I think George was probably afraid that he was more like his father. He wanted to allow his lover to be independent, unlike his mother who would only blame other people for where she stood - but at the same time, I think he wanted to dote on Yukari. He didn't express it very well, but I think Yukari and George were both young and insecure about their relationship. Add to the fact that they both are only 18, and still trying to find out what to do with their career paths.
What I took away from the manga was the fact that the person you go out with and the person you marry can be totally different people. They both support you, but in different ways. One is about passions, ideals and dream chasing - the other has more to do with stability and trust (plus the fact they both knew about each other's past loves)

I mean, sure, they were young. People with big dreams always sacrifice something when they are young and just starting. Breaking up is just how life is.
Yet, it's not about the break-up that made me dislike George. He was just a jerk treating Yukari as his trophy, behaving self-centered and selfish. Maybe they loved each other but their relationship was toxic. It's a good thing she married Tokumori in the end.

Don't get me wrong, I like George, I just don't like his relationship with Yukari, he's a great character, charismatic and I loved seeing him on Nana.

I won't lie, I like George as character, I just don't like his way of loving Yukari, it's like you get to know this nice person, charismatic, funny, with lots of interesting things to say, BUT people aren't perfect and Yazawa is great at creating flawed characters, on George's case, I don't think he's healthy for Yukari and I don't think she was mature enough for him.
On the other hand, I would have liked to see more of Tokumori's relationship with her, but I get that this is Yukari and George's love story, not Yukari and Tokumori's.
