Bit shame the author was forced to end it chapter 40. But even then, the story seemed to just go into a completely different direction from the start, the whole concept of the mc being gloomy and hard to get along with humans and only animals loved him was super interesting. Shame they changed his "gloomy" into everyone finding him cute out of nowhere, it just really didn't make sense and I dunno if going to chapter 50-60 would've fixed it.
