yeah im confused too like the prophecy said only 1 spirit user and in the first timeline im pretty sure cosette told keira while she was in jail that keira was the real one but then why did we have that story with 2 sisters sharing the spirit power ???

Idk why he had two wives exactly but considering his family needs a proper heir to inherit the power I guess it's in the kingdom's better interest to pop as many possible heirs out anyway.
I think both the moms may have been innocent to start with and heck if things had been normal, real Cosette may have been a good girl with a nice mother but because the shitty dad and their politics, he watched the wife he liked more get caught in the two wive's family struggle and ousted out on her own because keira's family wanted her out of the competition. Keira's mother I think is innocent though unlike the rest of her family(?)
