I’m not sure why people are saying he used to be a green flag. this chapter is from her POV. We know na haesoo grew up with a bad childhood and bare minimum interactions will be touching to her.
Plus Mincheol buying her a phone was during the pursuing stage. In that stage people will obviously show the best versions of themselves to impress whoever they want to pursue. The fact that he said she is not yet his gf but will be eventually is also cringey. He’s just lovebombing.
We as the audience only know that in retrospect because his actions seem kind, but we know what type of person he really is. So it’s not her fault for falling for his “charm” and “kindness”.
