the villain is stupid and unengaging. everything like the rest of the character, the world building, the politics, the tug on emotional plots etc is dialed up to 10 but her character alone is like a petty second rate typical ragebait webtoon villain like i cant take her seriously cause shes not. her only character marker is just shes horny af and thats all but the webtoon tried so hard to paint her as a very scary final boss archnemesis mastermind
I’ve always felt iffy about it to be honest. Although the spoilers explained who the villain truly is, it doesn’t flesh out her character at all. If anything, it feels like a poor excuse at generic evil vs good trope. She’s there to make mc look good. The very same trope this manhwa claimed go subvert in the first chapter.

the way the emperor is antagonising a powerful magician like MC just shows how useless of a head of government/state that he is? i mean why would anyone with a brain make an enemy of a useful weapon and resource who is already his legal partner? he couldve kept the mistress and have the marriage with MC loveless still but a smart person would at least be amicable and respectful with said loveless partner? i just cant wrap my head around his logic i mean youre trying to humiliate a girl who literally just destroyed a tower by herself and is capable of blowing his head off on a whim. and by the way the webtoon intro showed that MC is going to leave him anyway is just an evidence of a once in a lifetime bag fumbled just like that lmao

i understand broadstrokes of the plot but the webtoon has troubles in pacing cause why theyre doing something and then flashes back into idk how many centuries back but theres just no distinction. the demon/champion queen thing is also in a mess storytelling wise, its just so unclear bc the panels are disorganised, the temporal markings are very blurred and all and its such a shame bc MC is very likeable and the story is quite serious and packed

the prince is legitimately fun and interesting and kind and has that flirty charisma and has literally been in a life/death situation with FL. the duke has just been there for like??? 2 seconds and all of that has been of him neglecting his fiancee, or being distraught and missed out on crucial decision making. so pardon me for not understanding what is the basis of peoples preference of him lol is it purely 2nd ml syndrome? anyone other than ml goes? i just dont get it

all of her fishes are either going to make her rot in a gilded cage as long as she only belongs to him, one is a crude tsundere with a fucked up family who wants her killed, the other one...is kinda not bad but he wont be able to stand against the other two cause hes kinda normal and is a middling noble whos quite rich like no offense to the merchant marquis but him being normal is sorta a disadvantage dealing with a crown prince and a crazy priest. but props to her cause everyone is scary and shes also scared a lot but shes smart and strongwilled and managed to be funny amidst all that like this is a main character
