Feilong and Asami I believe Fellong never loved Asami the way Takaba does , He cares deeply for Asami . He has high regard for him ,what Asami thinks of him matters a lot and he wants approval from him.In that H.K arc when Asami seeks to prevent Feilong from going back and falling into Yan's trap Feilong says to Asami what are you saying you will love me in place of my father? That to me is a telling statement. All through this arc Asami's actions toward Feilong where of kindness and care. (the father figure) He(Feilong) never had as a child. Seven years before Takaba, Asami did care about Feiong but there were many prob. between them and no trust.

Very good points. I not for circumstance, and Feilong's brother, Fei and Asami may have had a chance at a relationship. Too bad we will never get to see intimate scenes of them together like Asami and Aki, except in our imaginations. :)

Probably Asami saw right through Fei and realized he wasn't ready for a real relationship and true commitment but I think he really liked Fei at that time.

Problem is Asami didn't love Fei Long, He pity him. Asami knew that Fei's feelings were deep, so Asami didn't want to entangle with him and hurt him.

And yes, Fei Long seeks Asami as a father figure, but that's just daddy issues haha. In the novel it was written Asami’s first experience wanting to be loved is Akihito. These facts tend to point that Asami never loved Fei. I’m sure he was sexually attracted, Fei is beautiful why wouldn’t he be. It was even shown Asami had some sort of lover in naked truth which he was using to get information so it’s not like he was above playing around or using sex to get whatever gains he wanted.

I love how you just gloss over the reply of the other anon and the fact that the mangaka of this yaoi has stated that Asami never had any romantic feelings towards anyone aside from Akihito and in the novel it clearly states that before Akihito he had never loved anyone. Translations have been posted on this board. This is not about people getting defensive, this is about people like you going through extreme mental gymnastics in order to create something that never was, going against the mangaka's word and plot. No one knows these characters' minds and feelings better that YA, her word when it comes to them is law. The plot is going one way and one way only. We are all free to ship whoever we want, but not to the point of inventing elaborate stories to fuel our obsessive needs. I know many of you are trolls looking to stir shit up, and while that's indicative of serious shit going on with that individual's personality, there are many disturbed people who actually believe what they write. People worthy of pity and in need of help.

I agree that it never would have worked out romantically in the long run. Egos, Empires and long distances. And I just cannot picture Asami giving his tushy to Feilong. But they could have developed a strong mutual respect for each other and maybe friendship with benefits since there was a physical attraction. However that is all just seed for my imagination. I still really like the recent changes in how Asami and Feilong have worked together, there is more respect there. The meet up at the harbour is going to prove very interesting. Asami liked Feilong, He felt something and maybe even wanted him. BUT as soon as He realized Feilong's feelings, He stepped down. Their relationship evolved on a brotherly kind, at least for Asami, and there was something in Feilong that wasn't what Asami was looking for.

I respect Asami a lot for what He did, because He cared for Feilong enough as to not play with him. Asami could have the Baishi under his control, He could took adventage of the situation and obtain a lot of power. Asami knew how obsessed Feilong was, and He could have used it in it's favor. But didn't. Just because He didn't love him. Asami is a honorable man.

You are thinking in the actual Feilong. Past Feilong didn't want nor need power. He easily have give everything to Asami in exchange for his "love" (or at least attention). Even now, He's totally obsessed. They engage in this power play just as foreplay, it's the way of Feilong to catch Asami's attention. But He has done a lot of risky things for Asami, his love/obsession with Asami is always at top of everything.

So yeah, maybe now Fei is playing the game this way because how everything evolved with Asami, but it always revolves in the same: Fei feelings for Asami.
I'm sure in the past (and maybe even now), Fei could throw away everything if Asami ask it

But effectively, it was a role reversal: Feilong doesn't love Mikhail, he was only trying to be nice. He empathize with him and take care of him for a little moment, just that.

I liked this development, but I think the fandom is reading a lot between lines at this. I don't think it means anything romantic, and we must wait for more before thinking anything haha

Feilong's big thrauma is that Asami didn't have sex with him, Feilong really wanted him and He still waits for him to... well, there's no way to say this nice: To "fill him up" hahaha.

He was totally jelous and borderline psychotic when He knew that Asami had sex (topping) Akihito. Feilong's envy about that was perfectly depicted.

I feel like Feilongs behavior with Asami has to do with trying to prove himself. In the HK backstory arc we see how Fei was passed over for leadership by his adopted father, dominated by his brother, abandoned and almost killed by his biological father, and then looked down upon by Asami who called Fei a puppet and still questions Fei's ability to lead and take care of himself.
He's figured out that he has no chance with Asami but still wants his respect as an equal. It helps explain Fei's actions in drugging Asami to get him out of the way while trying to resolve the situation himself.

When Feilong driver asks him before he meets Asami does he want the top spot he tells him yes. He wants Bashie. He was a person wanting power before he ever met Asami.

I'm a die hard fan of AsamixAkihito tooo hehhee... Specially now thar Asami is being honest (although it's not a love confession, but even I don't expect that to a man like him hehe, but still his claiming akihito more and more! I think Feilong is a rather ambitious and domineering guy. I am sure that he would be successful in almost any field.
But in a conversation with a subordinate driver, he reflected on the fact that he wanted his father's confession. He wanted his father to be proud of him and believe in him. Recognition of parents is very important for a person’s self-esteem.
The power over the organization and the place of the successor were not significant for him.

Vol2 chap. 6 I think page 6(?) after a fight with Yan both are told to leave the main house after pulling guns on each other to cool their heads. Fei takes it as a rejection by Lui sr. and stalks out "Father will never truly accept me". I can't tell if he is thinking this or telling this to some one, any way he refuses to comply and goes to a bar. He runs into Asami things happens and they wind up in Asami room Fei confines in him. Asami tells him "so what if your father won't accept you, You know your true worth. where is your ambition. A messenger comes from Yan telling Fei to return to the main house. Fei thinks of his ambition and makes his choice. I see him as wanting the spot and you do not that is fine also. It has been an interesting disc. thank you for having it with me. I end here.

Feilong wasn't ambitious at all, that was exactly his problem. He was too deep in his complex and his love for his father to see anything else. As He himself says: He's a guy moved by his feelings and pations.

Feilong is a truly smart and capable guy, it that doesn't mean anything without the right motivation.
His whole drive is "please, somebody love me" and that's why He would do anything for that sake.

That's why He accepted to be Baishe's dog under his brother's orders, not going against him, to be loved by his father. He was putting his love and honor in danger just to be loved by his father.
Also, Feilong has a tendency to auto destructive behaviors.

The Feilong we see and know now is just the result of Asami's getting in his life. It was Asami the one that drived Feilong to the correct path, urging him to be ambitious and take care of himself. If it weren't for him, Feilong would have died long ago by his brother, or his real father hands or later on jail.

And so on... Feilong was ready to give everything to Asami or become whatever it was needed to be approved by him. He is until now wanting Asami for himself, obsessed by his attention, even putting himself and his organization in danger just to see him. Even their subordinates know that Feilong lost his temper about Asami and nothing matters anymore when Asami is in the game.

Of course, this is with a negative connotation.. just because Asami doesn't love Feilong. It's a childish response to rejection. But if Asami changes and accepts Feilong, then Fei would throw away anything without thinking twice.
That's the kind of person He is.

Feilong was very patient, because he wanted to achieve recognition of his father. He wanted his father to be proud of him and see him as a good son. Unfortunately, Feilong tried to achieve this by completely obeying and fulfilling the will of the family that abused him. But when his patience was full, Feilong nearly killed his brother for the insult. Of course, Asami encouraged him, but the main decision to leave his brother’s control was made before that. The Feilong is quite ambitious and proud in itself, but like any normal person, it needs support and comfort in difficult life moments, as well as the love that adorns life and is an important component of happiness. And Asami and Mikhail also need this, they are not robots.
And now you absolutely do not understand the motives of Feilong and distort them. He has long come to terms with refusal, this is clear from the end of the Naked Truth and the novel. And now he just wanted to help Asami and Takaba, because they are dear to him. He also wanted to atone for his guilt and restore order on his territory.

Feilonf snap to his brother, but it only need his father words to lower his gun and do as He said.
Asami forced him 2 times (first to heal his hands, second to actually make out with him) and Feilong didn't act to it, not even after free himself.
Feilong doesn't need support and confort in a normal way: He's needy. He is desperate for love and do things on the edge due this. He has pride but not selfsteem.

Nor Asami or Mihail has been spotted in this situations. I don't undestand that comparation. They have their own personality traits and defects on their own.

I agree that Feilong moves on and let this things in the past, but we are discussing how's his personality and how WOULD have been things between Asami and him.
