I don't want Yamato and Hasegawa to end up together. Can't they just stay friends? I was really hoping for both of them to find their own happiness? Idc if the manga Is called "love story" or whatever. I just don't ship them. Kinda disappointed. Let's just HOPE it doesn't go to that route :/ I'll probably change my mind afterwards tho, lol

So is the big bro is telling his Lil bro smthn like "treasure Shuu more no matter what" but isn't he the same? I mean, the big bro said that he has a crush on someone but won't be a couple because he doesn't believe in pairing (plz correct if I'm wrong). Shouldn't big bro "treasure his partner no matter what" instead of telling it to Lil bro?

Gay people don't even make up more than 2% of the population. So the chances of the dad, brother and Ken being gay should be low. Just because anyone can be straight doesn't mean just about everyone can be gay. Only 1/20 people might be gay. The percentage is seriously low. I dislike it when just about everyone in the office/school is gay in manga. I just doesn't make sense
It feels forced and unrealistic.

that 2% are gay people who are out,,,definantly doesnt take into account the closeted gays and people who just never came out. And yes 2% is a small percentage but literally look at the worlds population and now theres over 100 million outed people in the world. so theres definantly a chance that a family can be gay. also yeah, this is fiction.

Don't know about homossexuality rates, but I do feel forced when there's too much males that turn gay on a yaoi story (well, except when it's normal to exist a lot of gays in the cast, like the plots that involves a character that works on a gay bar). Even if yaoi fans want to see male x male , it feels too fanserviceish when most male characters in a story enter in a gay relationship, at least for me, because I look for storys that feel at least a bit real.
As for this manga, I don't really like the idea that Kyouichi is gay too. I agree with someone that commented about it, that it looks like it's going to be a lot easier to accept Ken as a gay if he's a gay himself. Instead of creating one ship more, it would be a lot more interesting if the author made him struggle to accept both father and brother as gays while he's the only "normal".

I agree that this is totally unrealistic but the point is that it's a fiction so it doesn't have to be realistic! Keep in mind that authors create to please a specific audience and in this case the audience is made by yaoi lovers, and generally they like to see all the males of a story paired, so the author just tries to realize this fantasy! There are also more realistic yaoi but it all depends on what the author wants to do with his/her manga

I used to think so until my grandma's neighboor's 3 sons came out as gay. I was like "dude this really sounds like something out of a manga".

I dunno. The vast majority of my high school was bisexual or gay and actually dated people of the same sex quite often. Even outside of my school circle, I had and still have many gay friends. I don't think it's as uncommon as you think. Besides, this is a manga. A work of fiction. If we're talking about being unrealistic, most schools wouldn't just roll over if a person broke a rule like hair dying just because they have perfect attendance. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the story instead of getting held up on the "unlikeliness" of the story. Les be honest, there's very little chance that ANY romance manga could realistically ever happen.

Yeah, I know that it's unrealistic. I actually l really like this manga. I'm just tired of the same thing over and over. The MC is gay and so are his friends, neighbors, colleagues, father, brother, and teacher. I think it's because the same author write another manga where 4/5 brothers are gay and it was super unrealistic, so it probably set my expectations to higher for her next work. (even though I read this first)

11% of Americans acknowledge having some same sex attraction, even if they're not entirely gay. So that's 1 in 10 people who may very well choose a same-sex partner if the circumstances are right (such as being attracted to someone).
If that person with slight same-sex tendencies is surrounded by people who are open and accepting of gay relationships, then the chances are higher that if they feel a same-sex attraction they will just go ahead and let it happen rather than trying to ignore it or shut it out due to fear of what people will think.
Not to mention, homsexuality turns out to have genetic components. This has been known since 1993. It's entirely possible that multiple people in the same family have the same propensities. Which is probably why my sister is gay, my other sister is bi, and I'm bi as well.
And finally, gay people tend to congregate together for safety. If there's a neighborhood that seems gay-friendly, there's a chance that neighborhood might become particularly populated with gays just because people decided to relocate there so they don't feel judged.
Long story short, even though it's a work of fiction, there's real world reasons why you might find a situation like this.

When i was in highscool, we were 30 in class. 15 girls and 15 boys. 13 of them are out fo the closet. gay. What are the odds right??

Apparently, someone was willing to continue this manga UNLESS it's dropped.
So the manga has been cancelled until someone else picks it up? Do you know why?
