I know he broke someone's leg and all but Dojun was dumb to marry someone he doesn't like and he didn't give Chowon enough attention and kept going out. Still that doesn't excuse Chowon for being a psycho but c'mon. You're marrying the person you love, not to fit into society.i think they're both idiots. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ (pls correct me if I missed something)
What makes it stand out, and why so popular?
I think that the "bad-guy-turned-good-guy" theme is incredibly popular, and I think that it was done really well in this story. I also think that people appreciated Dong-Gyun actually ending his toxic relationship with Alex and not getting back into it until he was sure of Alex's change. Ukes a lot of times tend to unfortunately be portrayed as weak and spineless, and Dong-Gyun wasn't (to me anyways). PLUS a broadcast jockey story base isn't something I've ever seen before, so that was new and different. That's all the explanation I've got! ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I think the reason why it's so popular is because of a number of things. Without saying any spoilers, here's a few reasons I can think of from superficial to more specific ones:
1. The art is gorgeous.
2. The sex scenes are hot.
3. Set in real conservative Korea and both characters are gay making it difficult for them which makes the story very realistic.
4. Broadcast Jockeys (BJs) are huge in Korea and the idea that one popular BJ gets with a fan is a very attractive one.
5. The 2 main characters actually have personalities.
6. Their past shaped who they are when they meet and it actually mattered in the way they interacted and how their relationship with each other developed.
7. Character growth for both characters.
Is this a webtoon or what? If not then how many volumes do they have? Definitely not just 1...
Thank you for your response I asked about volumes bcs here ( https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=130590 ) it says that there's one volome. O_o
The ex-wife looks exactly like this person http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/love_is_an_illusion/uu/tr_chapter-7/pg-9/

I don't understand this author's way of writing very well. how did Yuki die? What were him and mafuyu arguing about??? Why did he die? Also, does Ugetsu like Akihiko? Then why can't they be together? Or is it one sided? Sry I'm not good with indirect writings
OK so I reread it but wtf does "I want to be with him but I'm in love with music" suppose to mean? Like are they getting in each other's future? Doesn't seem that way to me
about that quote, i think it means that although he likes?? loves?? akihiko he cant put him before his music and he just doesnt feel the same about both... idk thats what i read it as
also, i kinda understand what you're talking about. I also dont get if haruki isnt in love with akihiko anymore, whats the relationship between akihiko and violin guy (sorry forgot his name) and if hes falling in love with haruki in these last chapters (it really looks like it) but idk im just crying with every chapter i just want akihiko and haruki to be happy and together ffs
Ok but how and why did Yuki die? I don't even like him lol. What were they arguing about?
It's not exactly clear what they were arguing about, but it seems that Yuki died by hanging himself when he was drunk after Mafuyu asked him if he would die for him, or at least that's what I understood
Yuuki and Mafuyu arguing about: Yuuki wants to write a song for Mafuyu while Mafuyu wants to write the song together. Mafuyu thinks that Yuuki didn’t trust his music sense, so they starts arguing. Accidentally, Mafuyu asked Yuuki if he would die for Mafuyu. That’s why Yuuki drank lots of alcohol to be drunk then hanging himself.
So he killed himself just for that??? If that's not the dumbest thing I've ever heard
