This is actually a great concept for talking about STDs. The MC now has a responsibility to make sure his bodily fluids aren't ingested by another. He has to find a community of people who also suffer with his condition, to figure out why it happened and how to deal with this. He now has limited options in who he can intimately interact with, which may lead to him grasping at the only straw he has, which is the sick fuck who purposefully infected him.

The ML is the exact example of what not to do. No one in universe has made excuses for him. Everyone has acknowledged that he is fucked up and wrong, including himself. He doesn't feel bad about what he has done, because he wants the MC, and he didn't care about anything else. His backstory is tragic, because there are teens this happens to. There are teens who have STDs and don't know until it is too late for another person. Which makes his actions now that much worse. He targeted another person who loves food (MC actually loving food so much he has it as his phone background is adorable), because he knew that he could force that person to rely on him. He then took the opportunity to rape MC. ML is awful, and I don't think we are supposed to like him.

What I would like to see this series do, is break the, the first two dudes we see are the seme and uke trope. MC may have to deal with ML for a while, but I actually hope he finds someone else who can help him. I don't even mind if it is platonic, if it is straight (because we don't even know MCs sexuality), or if it comes in the form of a Dr or scientist. The ML, should not be the ML.

I don't actually want to have a series where we toss aside the ML either. I would like to see him have to suffer the consequences of his actions. He raped MC. He should be in jail. Like, I want him to go to jail. Intentionally giving people an STD is also jail worthy. Accidentally, I can accept, because you can't inform someone about something you don't know yourself.

Honestly, I have a bit of hope for this series. The fact that we already have 2 characters who are dating, with one being infected and the other not, shows that people can be in relationships even with STDs. My mom is actually one such person. Because she takes responsibility, making sure to never have sex with my stepfather during an outbreak (she is only infectious when she has symptoms) he has not gotten infected. They've been married 15 years.

I love this concept, I hope MC gets a non rapist person in his life to help him. ML can fuck off and go to jail.

Editors work WITH authors. An author not completing their work properly reflects on the editors work performance. They are technically closer to equals, as they both work under the publisher. Under MLs contract, he would be expected to write a certain amount by a deadline, and the editor then reads it over, gives feedback, asks questions, advises on changes, checks in with their authors, and keeps their authors aware of deadlines. But they are not the authors boss, which is important to note. It is why you will often see editors begging their authors for them to meet their deadlines, or lighting a fire under their asses. They are essentially the motivation police for authors. People need to stop equating an editor to the person who hired the author, when they both work under the same company, and were basically both hired to work together on the same job. The reason the authors tend to feel shame for not producing results, is because it is them not doing their half of the team project.

Those spanks would be followed be isolation tactics, by sending me to my room, and refusing to talk to me, with further groomed me to think that me being in pain wasn't a justified reason to cry. Grooming is an adult, older individual, or person with authority, acting and reacting in a certain way with children or other victims, to illicit a specific response. Some groomers want you to love them. Some to fear them. Some to hate yourself. The reasons and tactics carried out can be varied.

All that to say, I know, from experience, what pedophilia looks like, and what grooming looks like. This story's romance has none of that from MC to Kalid, but it does have grooming. The MC by his family and country into believing himself worthless and undeserving of basic human decency, Kalid by his family and country into a child marriage.

I don't blame MC, because he was not allowed the right to exercise his rights as a human. He was just property, which is how history treated women as well. He didn't want this, but had literally no means to fight it, without risking possibly his life.

This series is a depiction of two individuals, void of choice who understood and had to accept their roles. The king forced Kalid to take the crown, while MCs father forced him not only into marriage with a person he had no info on, but also to another country completely with no way to return. Hate the kings who normalized this, not the victims.

I would kill to be as ripped as that gma. Like, I'm AFAB, and being physically strong and having a more muscular body has always been my want in life. I hope to be the jacked one day!

I have ADHD, and didn't have good meds when I started this series, so a reread was crazy necessary. These are what I realized after rereading. Spoilers for anyone who has yet to read this Manga on here. I have read the fan translations to the last chapter of this season, but I will not include that info below.











Abel knew he was the true Regas in chapter 8, when he broke down remembering his master.

Abel knew he was going to die in chapter 15, the moment he had the dream of the future, the same as his master, and his masters master. He also knew he had a month, at best. The wooden necklace might be the thing that triggers the dreams to occur, when the time comes for the true Regas who holds it, but that is a theory.

The Spring of Prayers healed Karas' eyes, and it is possible that it is because of Abels prayer. I theorize that, because one of the prior kings had brought his deceased Regas there in a desperate attempt to heal him, that the kings does not have the power to actually use the spring in the way the true Regas does. This is compounded when you take into account that the council has been killing off the true regas of the kings for a while to control them. Which is why the previous king didn't have his true Regas.

Wydiels master, trained the previous librarian for the castle. It is likely that doing so has been a tradition for a long time. Wydiel was likely a Regas himself, taught and trained by a Regas master before him. Gets a bit difficult to understand if Melmont and Abel were trained by Wydiel, or if they had separate masters, due to some grammatical errors. At some points, Melmont indicates they have different masters, and that his master had been trained with Wydiel, at others, the indication was that he and Abel both trained under Wydiel. If anyone knows more, would love more info on that.

Many story beats that felt like they have been so long, are actually not taking as long as it felt. Characters are acting on their own, on a basis of what info they have. Instance of this, Kin revealing Karas' identity. Kin does not know Lil is Abel. Kin does not know that Karas is actually hiding his identity from Lil. So Kin revealing it actually does make sense for his character. He got sick of the fake title, they were going to arrive at the camp with the army tomorrow, and they just took care of the people tailing them, so dropping the guise isn't an issue.

Important to note, that the author did it this way, because it makes sense for the character of Kin. If it was any other character, this wouldn't work, because Melmont, butler, Karas, Ashler and Nani all know Lil is Abel, and are aware that the shock of the revelation could cause his heart to actually stop. Meaning that they have incentive not to tell Abel.

So, from a narrative perspective, this not only works, but it works because Kin has his own character, and acts and reacts to situations depending on his own thoughts and feelings.

Definitely recommend rereading the series again, now, because then you may pick up more context into stuff, or it might help you break that feeling of pacing being too long and drawn out.

Imagine dying for someone. Imagine dying to not only give them the possibility of life, but to hope beyond anything that it would be worth it. The the person you died for would at least be kinder, happier, more empathetic because you were in their life. Imagine slowly, painfully poisoning yourself for that outcome.

Then, imagine coming face to face with the reality that, because you died, that person became colder, more isolated, less empathetic. Imagine learning that they had to live on a battlefield for 5 years to survive, and that they had come to enjoy it, because killing meant nothing to them now.

Imagine dying for someone, and failing to realize that they also died with you that day.

Seme needs to die. Like, he is the reason your parents and brother are all dead now. Like, mc should kill him, then take the prison sentence for it. He could actually have a pretty good case for self defense here, but the seme needs death. And I usually don't call for that, but this specifically... bros gotta go, and I don't care how. I do want mc to live, but it would be extremely difficult to find the will to do so at this point in his life. He didn't kill his brother, but he will no doubt blame himself for not only his brothers death, but also his parents. I don't see him being mentally strong enough to want to survive this.
