Aaron knew from the beginning that Violet is not the real one because he remembers their past life. Even if OG Violet was such a bitch she was still his childhood fried, so when she committed suicide, the trauma was so big that he remembers everything even in his second life. (He is the only one who remembers the past, but all 3 of the ML know that in Violet body there is someone else's soul).

Inside Shannon's body there are two souls. Shannon one that is asleep and OG Violet one. Shannon soul will not awaken until OG Violet soul will be inside her.
Long story short, MC and Aaron fall in love. Duke and Prince don't stand a chance because MC is not interested in them even a bit. Shannon/OG Violet is jealous because Duke loves MC. She feels also guilty because in her past life she cheated on Duke (who was in love with her) with another man. To get rid of MC she asks someone to rape her.
The second soul change is OG Violet soul returns into her original body, so our MC soul falls asleep. While she is back into her original body she tries to make it seem like MC cheated on Aaron. Because she wants to leave Aaron and marry Duke instead.
