I was hoping it would happen
1. We learned he has mommy issues. Suddenly everything makes sense, especially his obsession with this older divorced woman
2. They really sent their teen boy in there for a pervert. So gross.
3. WTF WHY. WHY. AUTHOR WHY WOULD YOU HAVE HIM SQUEEZE THE OLD LADIES TITS??? Literally what was the point of drawing and including that moment. Wtf is wrong with this author consistently making such weird gross unnecessary choices?
4. If anything good came out of this chapter it was honestly just the art. The author clearly draws very well which is the only reason I’ve stuck around. It was nice to see a fat character drawn realistically and not having a design that makes fun of their fatness of frames it as ugly. She’s just a plump older lady and it adds to her characterization. The side view where she’s looking up was drawn particularly well and realistically while still fitting an anime style despite not being able to draw the basic anime jaw. Would love to see this mangaka team up with somebody that’s good at writing and that can be in charge of the story because this author is great at the visual art aspect but the writing is so lack luster and problematic.
it freaks me out when ppl who have mommy or daddy issues are attracted to older people (from what I see irl too) makes me think their looking for that parental love in those ppl but they just dont know it or maybe im wrong who knows

You gotta admit there’s some clear projection in this case. As a woman going through divorce and him clearly having a lot of trauma around both his mother and divorce I think it’s a big reason for his interest in her. Not necessarily saying it’s an Oedipus complex but there’s not way the two women/situations aren’t linked in his mind. I think he’s subconsciously trying to work through some of his issues/trauma with this woman and because she’s not family and is attractive it ads a layer or intrigue for a young straight boy and makes sense those feelings would also conflict if he’s seeking closure/closeness/affection through this women that’s paralleling his mother

The Oedipus complex can be applied to either gender. It's a theory by Sigmund Freud and the name comes from the Greek story of Oedipus who killed his father and married his mother. Carl Jung has a similar theory, the Electra complex, specifically about girls and their attachment to their father and resentment of their mother.
I read in an article smwhere tho tht electra complex is less common than ooedipus complex
If you’re curious to see mommy issues/oedipus complex in action look up the show from tlc “I love a mommas boy”. It’s extremely disturbing. Completely different from what going on in this manga but it highlights the effects of emotional abuse by mothers to their sons which isn’t something we see or talk about very much in popular culture outside of horror films like psycho.
