Spoiler from candyjelly on novelupdates:
(Only up until chap440)
system grants a dying person’s wish, but there is a rule for this:
- dying person’s location must be near the previous person when they finished the last mission
fun fact: the wording of the system is different in each person lol
nothing specified yet about the dead person who had the system before cheongryeo
when the system first appeared for cheongryeo, its because he wished to have a better career while jumping off a building. However, cheongryeo didn’t have the ability to check the system like moondae, so he probably often didn’t even know what happened wrongly and got sent back each year until he cleared all the missions. unfortunately in the middle of the way, he got addicted in returning back in time to make sure he finishes all his missions perfectly
next, moondae (real name: gunwoo), who transmigrated into another person and returned back in time. this is kinda a long story, but to make it short, after visiting gunwoo who was in coma state because of attempted suicide, og moondae accidentally slipped on stairs and died while wishing for gunwoo’s happiness. og moondae used to be a fan of gunwoo’s idol fancams before gunwoo closed his channel saying that ‘he’s gonna focus in gaming’ (gunwoo was actually focusing on civil service exam). somehow this made og moondae integrate with the system and system granted og moondae’s wish, by judging that gunwoo had to become a successful idol to be happy, thus the missions of becoming an idol, winning awards, getting millions of audience. (funny situation i know)
during this, system also made og moondae to transmigrate to gunwoo’s body and return back in time, og moondae had the missions to pass civil service exams. gunwoo (from current time) got to guide og moondae for a day every time og moondae finished a mission. gunwoo also bought winning lotto numbers for og moondae so that og moondae could fully focus on studying to not fail the missions.
we don’t know yet if there are repercussions of gunwoo/og moondae failing a mission.
the next person to get the system is kwon heeseung aka gold 2, who was in moondae’s team several times during IJC (Ch1-63), he fell off a bridge accidentally while wishing he should have become an idol instead of a model. he also couldnt check the system like cheongryeo. moondae told him his mission after checking his system. cheongryeo, moondae and heeseung are aware of each other being a returnee. heeseung also bought stocks right after he went back in time lol
chronology of the story:
-7 years: system appeared in cheongryeo
0 year: cheongryeo finished his final mission
other parallel timeline:
0 year: gunwoo helped og moondae
+4 years: gunwoo’s suicide attempt, og moondae died
current timeline:
0 year: gunwoo woke up in moondae’s body
(og moondae woke up in gunwoo’s body)
+3-3.5 years: moondae finished his final mission, system appeared in heeseung and moondae created a new mission for himself and made the system to reward him the chance to talk with og moondae, which made him to be able to guide og moondae from year 0. (this kinda became a time paradox)
while trying to eradicate the system after heeseung finished his mission, moondae and cheongryeo fell into a ‘reality world’ where they’re back as trainees and had to debut again, this time in LeTi (VTIC’s company). This ‘reality world’ concept is like the 127 Section game in early dod. Everyone lost their memories of the actual world (except Moondae and Cheongryeo), Moondae had to gacha and awaken each of them (all members in TeSTAR and VTIC).
After succeeding in turning off this ‘reality world’, moondae met with the system. System is a parasite who feeds off energy from people’s passion and it found that idol industry has the biggest passion so it has been forcing returnees to become an idol. It tried to send Moondae back to the ‘reality world’ but Moondae (and Cheongryeo and og Moondae) fought it off and won, and they’re finally back to the actual world.
But turns out system was not fully eradicated and there’s still a mission however the system window didn’t appear anymore, so Moondae failed. Thus Moondae got a penalty and the music show building he was in suddenly started collapsing in an attempt to kill him. og Moondae interfered the system midway and Moondae’s penalty changed to mission failure where he had to escape the building. After he successfully escaped, they’re back to actual world and thought system was finally dead for good.
TeSTAR joined in VTIC’s donation concert before three of its four members go to conscription. And then, TeSTAR was about to appear in a radio show to announce their comeback, but a mission failure notice happened again, this time, Moondae and og Moondae are switching back for 24 hours.

These events are going to take place in the future. A summary of the current timeline: Our MC’s true name is gunwoo and he has been transmigrated into the body of Moondae. The real moondae has been transmigrated into MC’s body, he was the one who accidentally caused them to be isekai’ed after falling to his death but due to the system he gets to live.
His dying wish was to become an idol so MC has to fulfil that in his stead.
As for cheongryeo, he’s the leader of the boygroup vtic who came to interview MC on behalf of his label. They’re going to get much more involved in later seasons.
They’re going to find out more about the origin and purpose of the system.
MC is smart and will figure out a way to control the system to some extent for their survival.
Og Moondae will go through some things with the system, I think he gets absorbed into it so I’m not 100% sure whether poor boy gets to live but as for the others, they’re all well alive.
They don’t have to clear the missions near their real bodies (?) I don’t rly get this question but it is a precondition for them to be transmigrated

I do like it but in classic manhua style something about it feels empty, I think there are a few contributing factors.
Storytelling is lacking n rushed as they try to fit in too much in too few chapters, the focus is only on mc and his relationship with ml so there’s no world building, the plot is repetitive as they use the same forumla in every arc; mc taking revenge and his relationship with ML immediately progressing to the final stage.
It really makes no difference what the setting of each arc is, because they’re going to repeat the exact things, without sparing their surrounding even a glance.
It’s romantic I get it they’re this power cp, but author should’ve switched it up.
Given ML has no memories of the previous worlds, they could’ve spiced things up by not making him immediately fall in love.
Everything is too predictable hence there’s very lil angst. Arc 2 is by far my fav

Well that was disappointing despite it starting out good. It’s very clear that author tried to stand out by adding a bad plot twist to their otherwise highly recycled plot.
Heck even this plot twist wasn’t anything I haven’t seen before, but I hate it everytime I see it.
First we’re led to believe the handsome, alpha teacher is the top and the cute student omega is the bottom yet they somehow go against their natures just to be edgy ig.
It would’ve been better had they both been omegas instead
Very boring bland read. How is it possible for all the manga’s by this author to be misses.
And here I thought this was finally going to be their first good manga.
Translators pls pick up manga’s by better authors this is a waste

MC has nothing going for her, hence making it very hard to root for her or to even like her char. She’s bland, stupid, useless and greedy.
Honestly she’s nothing besides her FAKE appearance and charms.
It doesn’t help much that she indirectly keeps hurting innocent ppl without a care.
Poor Roger’s problems are only amplified by her uselessness, even his mother wouldn’t have died had it not been for her.
We don’t know yet whether it’s all just a game or a parallel reality. Even in a game one shouldn’t be so guilt free, it reflects poorly on her morals.
Not to mention her awfully cringe seductions methods.
With her powers she could’ve ruled the kingdom, but unfortunately it’s wasted on her dull brain.
The plot is recycled, MC is useless and unlikable, just what were the team behind this webtoon thinking?
I’m bothered because it’s obviously of higher quality and it had a lot of potential given this type of plot is to my liking.
Did they forget that we’re actually supposed to like the MC to continue reading it? So far I’m either indifferent or borderline dislike her char.
These companies just pump out these nonsense webtoons without substance for cash grab.

I hope no SA survivor ever meets someone as unlikeable as you. Let's completely disregard all the traumatic events and victim-blame instead: "It wouldn't have happened if you were smart." Even in a game, one shouldn't be so guilt-free. What do I hear? Hypocrisy? Keep it up; you're doing great with your internalized misogyny

Way to take things out of proportion Sherlock. Just when exactly did she get SA? There’s always a knight in shining armor to save her ass.
She was the attention seeker who turned the charm all the way up. Those innocent ppl are literally dying because of her greed yet she’s the only victim here to u? Stupid actions have consequences.
Imo a trail of innocent dead bodies is far worse than what she’s going trough, u might want to get off that fake high moral pedestal.
Why are u so proud that she’s guild free about the victims? Do u think those ppl want to act the way that they do? It’s literally disgusting how she treats their lives like ants and runs into the arms of a male lead as soon as they’re within her vicinity.
Nowhere did I say she deserves what she’s going through, she’s also a victim of her own actions however the way she’s handling things isn’t right one bit.
Critizing a badly written female character ISN’T misogyny. Ur one of those uber sensitive snowflakes whom no one can have a productive conversation with.
There’s bad and worse here, but it all comes down to her

Are you unable to let go of the hypocrisy? Why don't you take your own advice and get off your high horse? I still stand by what I said. Are you saying I'm blowing things out of proportion? But at the same time, you can't even identify SA? You do know that attempted rape is still SA, right? Touching someone inappropriately, even without penetration? Unwanted sexual advances, comments, and gestures? Right? And how is your comment, "there is always a knight in shining armor to save her ass" not minimizing and downplaying what happened? So because somebody saved her before it could get even worse, it's still not bad and SA? And what greed exactly? Wanting to survive? Not wanting to be assaulted? Trying to find a way to be in a safe environment? Is her wanting to stay close to the one who doesn’t act crazy towards her, rather than the one who tried to sexually assault her, so crazy? Is her wanting to return to her world? And what if they don’t want to act the way they do? Does that magically make things better for her, or will she still be traumatized by it? Shouldn't she defend and protect herself both mentally and physically just because it’s not intentional? Obviously, she’s not going to react in the best way possible, but that doesn’t mean it’s badly written for this particular reason. It’s almost like this is a normal human reaction, making far worse decisions in a stressful situation. Is this what stupidity is to you? Maladaptation? And guilt-free about what? She clearly exhibits guilt, other than the fact that she never was the one who killed anyone, but let’s point fingers there because it’s easier or maybe you should point your finger towards those who actually killed them. And not feeling guilt doesn’t really mean anything; there are multiple medical conditions where people don’t feel guilt, but they are still way more tactful and mindful than you

She doesn’t show guilt except towards ML’s mother due to her identity, her main char syndrome is quite severe. She never thinks about other’s deaths, only how she needs to choose a husband blah.
She seems to only seek male validation under the guise of love, which is quite toxic. Despite claiming to love ML, she doesn’t fail to blush whenever the other male leads flirt with her. Conveniently enough she doesn’t seem traumatised enough to not like the attention from them. Only now does she refuse their advances because she’s supposed to reach an ending with only 1 of them rather than starting a harem, but u cannot deny that her behaviour has been nothing short of promiscuous. I view girls like her who put male attention above all else as dangerous. So far, she hasn’t shown any traits that make her relatable or appealing. Being a victim of her circumstances doesn’t mean I’m obligated to like her just because of her gender. It has everything to do with the superficial writing on author’s part.
A good MC is supposed to be complex, interesting and likeable. Otherwise they’re only going to attract the support of a very small % of readers for whatever reason it may be. To me she’s none of those.
Fact remains that her char is unremarkable and fails to inspire my full support.
It seems like you’re making excuses for her character, but you’re not her psychologist. My opinions are based on what I’ve observed from her. You might be reading too much into this; it’s just a low quality comic so chill out. I’m not here to discuss SA matters with u. It might be worth seeking therapy for your own unresolved issues if you’re projecting so much onto a character with no real depth.
Love struck and superficial female characters are my pet peeve, so why should I like her? You can’t impose your opinions on others, and it’s important to accept that.

I never said that you have to like her, nor do I dislike or like her. But I don't appreciate the way you expressed your opinion in the original comment, completely disregarding and minimizing the SA, because this is the main problem. And your comment now presuming my potential issues was completely unnecessary.
Anyway, a good main character doesn’t need to be likeable. There are multiple works, even in classical literature, where the main character is definitely not likeable, and the author doesn’t intend for the reader to like them. Would I say she is a complex character? No, but do I think some of her actions are completely appropriate and understandable? Yes. Still, I don't like that you equate complexity with stupidity and weakness, because if we have to talk about complexity, Roger is not any better.
Other than this, I don't see her putting male attention above all else; she is using them, and the "attention" is mainly for survival. I can agree that she feels attraction for their exterior, but there are clear behaviors that express fear when encountering them, especially with the other two. However, I do agree it's not well written, other than the fact that the author actually includes these seduction scenes because they sell. Later, she does catch feelings for Roger, and Roger feels something for her too, but both are quite superficial; neither of them knows each other.
And the reason why she feels guilty about the ML's mother was not due to her identity, but because she did have a pleasant experience with her and felt secure with her before the ML's mother lost her mind. Even here, I can agree it wasn't well written, but this is where the writer was going. And for the other deaths? She is not responsible (not even for the mother). Why would she feel guilty about it? Regardless of the fact it wasn't intentional by them to assault her, I don't think she should feel guilty for protecting herself. And the deaths caused by the crazy trio are their responsibility; they were already like this even before she was there

This trope of abandoned daughter can be so cringey if handled carelessly. The quality of this webtoon obviously isn’t the best and it falls under the cliche category so there are a lot of cringe worthy moments.
It’s the same trope as Penelope but that one will feel completely different because its of much higher quality.
Nevertheless this webtoon isn’t bad either.
For now I like MC’s nonchalant behaviour towards her fam
Author is obviously on the path of whitewashing them, I bet she will use the same old excuse of them having been under the influence of magic or sum.
I liked how in “I raised a tyrant” mc’s fam had no excuse and she left them behind to live chocking with regret.
I wished we saw that kind of development more often
At least she isn’t getting back with the crown prince. I’m happy with ML, he looks the best and his personality is masculine, that’s what she needs

Whitewashing like justifying their unfair treatment of her by making up excuses. So far the excuses used were; the adopted parents didn’t knew how badly she was being treated right under their noses despite having banished her to the guest house the minute she was taken in for whatever bs reason, the siblings simply “misunderstood” her and weren’t inherently bad ppl so she’s not allowed to hold it against them, like that eventually all is forgiven.
They even stood by when she was executed and never cared to defend her in the events leading up to that, we’re not to the point in the story to find out the excuse for that but it’s all the same thing.
Everyone else is innocent and she will be seen as petty for holding grudges and wanting nothing to do with them.
She will be pressured into giving in and suddenly considering these ppl her fam despite finally being capable of leaving their asses behind.
Like that neither her nor us as readers will get closure.
The problem with this trope is that MC lowkey gets treated as the delulu one for her very real experiences and her fam who abused her are supposedly good hearted.
Very problematic and I think it’s brainwashing tactics aimed at the female youth.

I loved all the arcs except for arc 8. My favorites were in order arc 7, 6 & 12. If you’re a fan of the Victorian era and added mythical allure then arc 7 will be very enjoyable. It reminded me of Black butler.
In the epilogue, it was revealed that the world was an AI simulation? So none of the male leads actually have souls? The MC is essentially immersing himself in his own delusions within fabricated worlds. Honestly, kind of relatable.
I absolutely loved how each time, he fully became the char he was portraying, completely embodying every aspect of it. And the ML is never the same, it made things even more entertaining.
I can’t believe so many people didn’t enjoy this manhua! It genuinely ticks all the boxes and is such a great read. Maybe they didn’t read enough of it? The team behind this manhua clearly did their best with the limited budget they had, and it shows in the effort and creativity they put into it.
The quality isn’t the best, but if you’re looking for short stories that can stimulate your emotions to some extent, then it’s great.
