And i think although Sam is straight, Henry might be the exception for him where he can really see and be with him as a lover. Especially after seeing how attached to Henry he is, and that he was accepting of his feelings when Henry had confessed.
Being a gay guy having been in a relationship with a âstraight guy who made an exceptionâ... it fucking sucks and I wouldnât wish the pain I experienced on my worst enemy. It doesnât work, itâll never work, if Henryâs straight heâs delusioning himself.

Wow...way to put your experience and paint ALL relationships with this pretext to the same results. I'm sorry you had to go through that, truly I am. But that certainly does not mean that it doesn't work, or that the problem always lies with the "straight person who made an exeption." That is plain ignorance and making rash conclusions based from your pain.
Well isn't he straight since the story doesn't show any hint of him dating men or being attracted to men before? But does it mean because of this, he can't ever become gay and be accepting or public about it??? I've had friends that turned gay later in life and although at first they were having a hard time being open about it, they are now open about it and their relationships. They're happy now. And they haven't had relationships with women since. But i think one of my friends is bi though and he's always known that he was bi.
Well if, that is, Sam does turn gay because of Henry. Hahahahaha! I see people that go through exceptions just as I've mentioned. I dont know how they are now. So I don't know if they work. But based on my experience anyway, there is someone in my life that I'd turn lizzy for. And she is my exception. But we are both happily married to our spouses right now. Hahahahahaha! There is no pain, since this is the kind of love where I can be anything for her-- a best friend, a sister, a lover. I could be anything for her and be content. If we didn't have boyfriends and got married, I would've pounced on her!(ăĽďżŁ ³￣)ăĽ
I'm with Sam on this one though. Why confess your feelings if you weren't planning on giving him a chance? Sam was oblivious to his feelings which sucked, but Henry also did his best to hide it yes? I can't exactly blame Sam for not noticing especially when he was straight. I feel for Sam more now.
