Ugh, the english translations are like nails on a chalkboard to my ears lol. They sound so weird! The korean dialogues are much more...idk appropriate (?) For the characters.. they sound so OOC here...like chads in a frat house. Who is doing these translations at LEZHIN??!?!
Anyway, I'll redo some of my favourite dialogues.
For example: When Eunsung's friend comes over, he says: "Why are you styling it (the hair) like that? Are you going somewhere? Don't tell me... it's for a girl??"
Eunsung says: "What are you on about? It's just...today is going to be a rough day, so I'm trying to look pretty so I won't get scolded."
Then the friend says: "That's not how it works, you bastard, either you look pretty or you look sloppy, and you tend to be the latter..."
Eunsung says, "Is that so? But the place he touches the most is this face..."
Also in the cafe, "How did everything go at the company?" (Indicating the phone call he had with sunbae) and soohyun, "Knowing exactly what would happen, why are you even bothering to ask?"
Eunsung tells him, "You were so reckless that day, don't you feel afraid at all? Putting yourself as bait in a situation like that? Without knowing the consequences of such a situation."
Soohyun then says, "Do I look like someone who is incompetent enough that I'd just stand there in a daze and do nothing?"
Eunsung says, "I think there seems to be some misunderstanding... it's true I went to settle that on my own, but it's because I have more experience while dealing with Park Mun-seop. I'm not belittling your abilities."
Also, I love the fact that eunsung calls him "Soohyun-ah" (which is an endearment) which gets lost in translation. (I mean, they could keep it and add a note but whatever)
Eunsung is actually very polite and flirty, which just comes across as crass in /this/ stupid english translation.
Soohyun would never say things like "what goes around, comes around, yeah?" Hahahahahah what even in seven hells...
The translations for the mature chapters is okay-ish, better than these ones for sure. It's hysterical reading this in English here hahahah

Eunsung's "voice* is flirty, polite, teasing (like he's a cat) he's also very calm and composed when soohyun is mad at him lolol. He loves teasing him sooooooo much ~ and he always laughs when he gets glares from his "soohyun-ah" he calls him like that a lot despite soohyun being angry at him for calling him with such familiarity.

I can't explain it properly, but it is definitely way too strange... it's now how they sound like in the original text. It's a very bad translation, or more so, it's like a translation of a translation of a translation.
The original dialogues are excellently written, and it's definitely not like this... the translations are very lazy.

Right?! I've been thinking the same thing. This is why we need fan translation instead of official sometimes cuz sometimes the officials have no idea what they are saying! Like who is approving of this? Who is the lead of this? I support author by buying but I really like fan translation better. It's like they actually do their research
I hope the translations are able to convey how uniquely their voices are mingled with their characters... every character has their own way of expressing themselves (which is made very clear in korean) by the words they use and the intonation...these "censored" dialogues are a joke hahahaha
I doubt any translation group will pick this up with the official translations being uploaded on lezhin... it's hard work I bet. The mature version does a way better job than this shit translation, however it's still lacking...
In Korean, they literally sound so much more realistic, not to mention individually unique and very interesting. Their personalities are heavily by the way they express themselves...like eunsung is very polite and calm and composed, whereas soohyun's smugness and insecurity is so obvious even when he's being confident. Even Minseok (the sunbae) is characterized by how opportunistic he sounds, like kind of sleazy in a way which person is greedy yet super experienced and mature. It all goes to shit with these half-baked translations. Especially when they convey simple things like dropping of formalities and swearing at each other subtly...even the way soohyun texts eunsung (cold, demanding, authoritative "come out and meet me for an article" ) and the way eunsung texts soohyun ("Should we meet today~~?") is so different hahaha. They really messed up so hard.
For whoever is wondering, he did make a deal with jay, but not for the photoshoot hahaha. This he will get done in exchange for being his nude model in the future...Yoohan/Taemin is the shIT hahaha (●'◡'●)ﾉ

Uh, hahaha. Yeah in a way. Jay is really the one pulling the weight in their relationship though, since yoohan is completely dead inside. It will take him a long time to respond to his feelings in //that// way. Probably after he realizes that Jay was the guy who he met while wearing the rabbit suit.
It was pretty self-explained in this chapter haha but I guess in the coming chapters, he will have to go to this club that Jay owns where he first "tests" him and then he makes him read movie scripts and a lot of books - and also he has to be at his beck and call (?) Like whenever he asks him to go see him, he must. Answer his texts, etc. He even takes him to his house and gives him keys (through a hilarious way) and sleeps with him (actual sleeping not sex) since he manages to sleep only when he's with yoohan for some reason.
Jay will use his "deal" to make yoohan have feelings for him the best/desperate way he can (giving him security after he's attacked)

He had suspected him to be the guy he was looking for, but he didn't expect yoohan to come at him in this way. Yoohan feels embarrassed afterwards.
