I've also read the spoilers and as realistic as it could come the ML is an emperor and for this type of Emperor, its his citizens before him. If u think about it in order for him to remain powerful, political marriage is inevetiable. Yes its sad for both the ML and FL but neither of them are actually hopless romantics. As of now Paulina's goal and purpose is to protect and be by his majesty's side and that makes her happy, we all want Paulina happy dont we? And as for Lucius, its his brain before his heart, but I'm hoping he'll allow himself to have what his heart desires.
I think yall forgetting they are in a BDSM relationship. Yall Chanwoo is stubborn person, he knows he's hurting and yet he wont accept MD's help or at least try to be with him. Yh sure, probably in this scenes it kinda makes u mad at MD for hurting precious Chanwoo but like stop and think for a moment. MD cared for Chanwoo and I think its really evident. In this case, Chanwoo getting hurt is his own fault bcuz 1) He ended up liking yet another bad person and 2) His own stubborn self forced MD to show what he gonna miss if he left him.
Like literally it only takes few minutes to understand why people are upset. They made so many good points and you shallow it all to being upset about slap, when it's literally not it.
Why should he try to be with someone... If he doesn't reciprocate their feelings or just doesn't want to? He should force himself? Also it's clear he didn't want to mix his BDSM relationship with personal, romantic one because it could completely shift the dynamics of either of them.
I'm not really an expert with how BDSM relationship works, I do get the general idea but not to the point I have accuracy about. I'm stating that as a person, who has not been in a BDSM relationship or neither an M or S that their are people so ready to jump on MD's case for slapping Chanwoo even tho he's done something way worse than how I (personally a person that does not have that kind of kink) precive. I also thought that their personal intrest and personal hobby would get in the way of their relationship. But isnt it selfish for Chanwoo to do that to MD too? What I meant is Chanwoo is aware of MD's feelings yet he wants to continue their BDSM relationship while he has a romantic relatioship with another. What if the guy did not have an intrest with MD and actually ended up with being in a relationship with Chanwoo? I was imagining what MD would feel, keeping this BDSM relationship with the person he likes while the person he like is in a relationship with another. Its not like I want Chanwoo to be forced into a relationship, and I would never want that to happen to him.

Ig I was one of those people who assumed. I oversimplified the BDSM play in my head. I thought its more of a play where people who are willing to be hurt for pleasure and the people willing to hurt for pleasure already has a mutual agreement between them. I've totally brushed off the fact consent should always be asked no matter how far or deep a realtionship is. Thank you again for adding your statements.

Yall I really cant see the similarites between Solo Leveling and Kill the Hero. Like is it the art? The plot? The whole character? Like this person went back in the past and hoarding all these rewards not bcuz of a system but in order for himself to grow stronger. And really, its a game concept. Summoning powers and all that are really common aint it? Also since Solo leveling and its trope became popular its expected someone will take inspiration to it. well necromancy is an OP job skill to have in games if your smart about it, stacking up on summon defence and resist you'll really become unstoppable with the right skill set and equips
I’m not gonna deny that the system/how the world works are very similar...BUT the main plot is different.
The world is an amalgamation of a lot of isekai/rpg worlds and not just from SL, so I don’t really mind.
I treat it as a whole genre...kinda like how BL has this omegaverse theme.
