it really shows this was made by a straight person, honestly. some of the scenes felt so straight-male-gaze-y, and the dialogue sometimes got so awkward and textbook-like. well i'm glad the characters ended up happy

Nobody is complaining for that reason, its because she is manipulating someone but at the same time acts like she is the one with a moral compass, like the young master who acts like he is an angel when he let her get abused for years but judges a king who sucks the blood of murderers already on death trial. You can make a character be a manipulative ass, but not at the same time make her act like an innocent pure girl who dislikes manipulation and taking advanatage of people lol. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

weon's interestingly similar to harold in the way they both unhealthily obsess over the things they want (here, hanyul), but weon differs in the way that he genuinely just wants hanyul to be happy and wants hanyul to use him for his happiness. hanyul and weon also have similarly low self-worth and inexperience with unconditional love, and it was sweet how they helped each other see that they're worthy of being loved/happy not bc of their abilities, but as people T-T i don't even like possessive mls and disliked weon for the majority of the manhwa, but damn this hurt a bit
following the theme of unconditional love, pan and rabo's quiet side arc was adorable !!! and ofc my fave character yuda, literally mvp being a good bsf for hanyul, never acting on his crush on yul, punching harold and calling weon out on his fake macho bullshit <3333 literally the most functional person ily king
i'm upset that harold didn't go to prison, but like yul said, at least now he'll never get to have the 2 things he wanted: being a singer, and yul. (also ur very strange if u drag hanyul for stopping harold from killing himself when hanyul spent years traumatized and blaming himself bc he couldn't stop someone's death )
i'd have loved it if dolph woke up at the end, but the ending felt more sweet than bitter, so i feel confident that he'll wake up eventually :,))
