Based off the early chapters the kid is definitely Caidel. But it looks like he had a different name back then. Also maybe she set the town on fire because the people were all terrible. His dad beat him I wonder if he forgot about that. He remembers being treated by her so he probably does remember. Was he upset his dad died because he would have no one now. His dad clearly never loved him beat him and neglected him. There is also the possibility someone else set the fire and he thought it was her and blamed her and she was upset because she thought he was different from the people who called her a witch. Hopefully they will recognise each other soon.
It's definitely caidel. A ton of chapters ago he said that the Earl gave him that name and that's why he didn't want to use an alias when he first came to Eleanor's village

The plot reminds me of Detective Mueller/Investigation of Mueller and they're both redheads lol!! Though that's where the similarities end. Anyway the grandfather is aware of what his daughter has done but he said it was actually a rumor that his son was killed so then how did the son die(does he not believe she's evil?)? Everyone seems to be aware that Elizabeth is a murderer. He knew his own son ran away to escape being killed and did nothing about it...he had to have known she would stop at nothing to kill Avery too...how can he let this all happen? I can't tell if he just doesn't want to believe he raised a killer or if he looks away on purpose...

The fact she wasn't happy when he asked her out says so much about the future of their relationship. I love her but she's being very naive. Aiji may not be a bad person but it's clear there isn't something right with him. Im sure he has some sad background but i don't doubt that ex when she said he hasn't changed. Using Urara without consideration of her feelings and trying to date her half heartedly knowing she likes him so much is very awful of him. His ex definitely knows him better than Urara. Urara likes him so much she wants to believe he's a good guy but she needs to open her eyes and see these huge warning signs that he might actually be a real jerk. I wonder why Misono protects him. Does he too know the kind of person Aiji is? I really feel bad for the ex I hope her and Urara become real friends once Urara sees Aiji for who he really is and Urara and Misono get together.
