When I saw the scene where she said she hated him I thought "Yes, finally", but so what if not much later she got into a friendly chat with him, started treating him like she used to and now she's thinking about getting engaged to him. She should decide whether she loves him or hates him and wants him to suffer and behave accordingly. She changes behavior in every chapter and it's annoying.
Emel isn't better either. From one side he is angry that she don't know anything about him and from the other he didn't ever tell her about himself and always hid his real character. I think that he treat her a bit unfair, he expects her to know something he never told/showed her. If he wanted her to know his true nature then he should just stop playing nice at some point. It's understandable that when she was a kid he was hiding his true behavior so to not scare her, but it was no longer necessary when she grew up. This kind of behavior won't do you any good dude. FL’s dad’s original wife was killed by FL’s grandfather(the emperor at the time). Mary’s female leads mum, the princess, in hopes of being king. The FL’s dad got himself a son, from a mistress,who’s raised as FL’s Mom’s mutual son.
He then kills both his wife, and Emperor, because the one that holds the emperor position is normally chosen by the princess. But the princess(fL’s mom) rejected that title. He then makes HIMSELF the emperor, against ALL rules, claims it’s temporary till someone of real blood is available for the monarchy position, in this case it’s the FL, but the people include her step bro because he was introduced as a legitimate child of FL’s mom, giving him that blood needed to inherit the monarch.
SO dad basically wants to wipe out the previous royal blood line and insert himself in as revenge. Which is why he keeps trying to get rid of his daughter to fAR away princess. Litterally dudes who have no business in his kingdom. One way ticket to send her away.
The aunt is also power hungry and has direct contact with the FL so she plays a crucial role. But do note that the FL’s dad (the current emperor) put all his relatives in power.

An actual appearance in the English version posted on here (because no I have not read the raws and any spoilers I do have only come from the spoiler comments I read here)? Not that I'm aware of. So far he's only shown up in a picture from the family tapestry and maybe when the aunt and dad were talking about the eye and hair colors (that image of the blonde and dull red eyed guy might have been Paris with his hair dyed).
Shit, after reading so much manga/manhwa/manhua where man rapes, dominate and sexually abuses a girl it's refreshing to see reverse version. Yeah, I know it's bad either way...

In some Mangas I seen about men getting rape ppl just brush it off as if it was okay ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ not saying it happens in woman rape bc I've seen that crap too （￣へ￣）But I find that when men are being raped it gets much brushed off than when they do it to woman. Well I get your point but you need to consider that you can't just train and bam your much stronger. Her body was born in weak condition. There are limits bodys can achieve and hers is weak and gets sick easily so even if she would train her condition probably wouldn't improve much (Training takes many months/years too) And added it would be really weird for a noble woman to just start training, her body isn't a knight. She's woman who only had like nobel lessons and probably never even wielded a sword. She can't get support either because there are already rumors she's insane and well nobody would believe her she reincarnated. Additional she's not really popular so her only chance is to take advantage of someone who is in an higher position than her. Well and she's really sick and depressed right now.
It had just downed on her how fucking weak her current state is. She's not mentally and emotionally stable, she just saw a childhood friend, an ally she trusted who cut her head off living well in the enemies territory.
Even if her body is weak it doesn't mean she can't get at least a little exercise. And I don't mean that she should swing a sword right away, but she said that even walking is difficult for her. she just got killed by her best friend, found the kingdom she worshipped the groun of was destroyed three years ago, had to get engaged with the enemy, ended up with a situation and body the opposite of her own, is just going past her internalized misogyny (as she said when she stated herself that she didn't like the other noble ladies back then but now respects them), and found out that the same best friend is dead and that her subordinates are somewhere out there and unsafe. she's very, very desperate right now and let's say she /does/ exercise and somehow, despite her canonically weak body since day 1, it works, what is she going to do? get swordsmanship training? she just asked about why ladies have to talk a certain way and stress about etiquette when noble men don't need to and she got shot down immediately.
right now, she doesn't have any attachment to the ml and her only focus is getting revenge against khalid and her empire. of course she's going to see the advantage she can get if she uses the ml. she's a knight of her country first and the commander of said country before she's a noble lady. she's just choosing the best option.
