Cause I think I understand now why Seo-in is the way he is in S1. His family dynamic really fucked him up. While Yeongwoo definitely deserves someone who is nice and caring, I’m still rooting for the two of them. Although it’ll be interesting to see where the story goes with the loan shark guy

-that this season is focusing on the backstory. The author spent S1 setting everything up and getting us interested, and now they’re really giving us the plot. I like that we get to see what they were all like in HS and the relationship dynamics between all the characters. I know it would be classified under “Drama” but the tension between the brothers and Seo-in’s possessiveness of Yeongwoon gives thriller vibes sometimes and it makes it that much more interesting. First season was interesting enough, but this season the author is doing a good job setting it apart from similar BL’s

Like ??? I get the shock of it, but they thought they were smart enough to evade a man who doesn’t care about doing WHATEVER it takes to get his way? Again, not saying the Uke didn’t deserve to be saved and treated with love and affection, but he wasn’t asking to be saved! The prince and his body guard took it upon themselves to swoop in and take him away. Dont act like you didn’t know that taking someone the devilish Emperor was enamored with, wasn’t going to have dire consequences. Now look, your momma dead too
Pisses me off that she even changed his birthday! I really hate his mom. They were both just kids! It’s upsetting to see them both trying in their own way to just survive their parents and situations but at the same time it’s comforting to know that they really did fall hard for each other back then and try to look out for each other. It makes me nervous what’s gonna happen though. Especially cause the future seemed so sad (from episode 1)
Novel readers forgot to mention that ML kills his brothers mom too!! He’s just a big ol’ mom killer. I wonder if he killed the Mc’s mom because of his trauma? But I seriously don’t know how to MC chooses to be with him. Cause before I could see it since he clearly had some small form of connection with the ML, but like how do you redeem this? Did the author just say to hell with a redemption arc and instead will go with Stockholm syndrome?
I think it’s either to do with his drinking and/ or insomnia. I think his shock is because he hasn’t realized how bad it got or how bad his health could get if left untreated.

Although I feel like the pace of this season is slow, it was nice that Dan’s hardships are being mentioned again and not just glossed over. Like his drinking problem. Both the grandmother and the old man have mentioned it and now JY sees it again + learning that Dan smoked, which at first glance seems out of character but it makes sense that he would lean on anything that could help him cope with his stress. I think staying in the town together could help both of them recover. I just hope they can get better before Dan is struck with his grandmothers passing

Makes me mad that the mom brought a sweet innocent kid into a hostile environment. She doesn’t even stick up for him, he’s just there to fill the void she was left after losing one of her own. Plus she’s known the brother has been a psycho since he was a kid and still covers for him even when he hurt someone else and just moves on with her life. I’m honestly glad her anxiety is bad and I hope she gets confronted by MC this season. This also really makes me wonder how the brother Died. Cause wasn’t he the one with the scandal and they mistakenly thought it was the ML cause they look alike?
