-That the author didn’t draw out the flashback. They did just as much as they needed to and got back to the story. Too many authors draw out certain parts of the story and lose attention to the plot

You can read a novel and picture someone completely different from how they’re described. I read the novel a while ago so I forget his name, but the other wolf guy….the whole time I was picturing him to be older like maybe 30 and with a beard. Like why did I randomly give him a beard in my head lmao

The Uke has been abused since he was younger and it was called “love,” so his definition of “love” became warped. He ran into the ML when he was little and basically fell in love within their first interaction. He ran into the older brother in college thinking og that he was the kid he ran into. Quickly found out that it wasn’t him, but stuck around to get close to the ML. The ML doesn’t remember him at this point. So he brings him snacks and helps him with his homework and kinda fawns over him, the ML and family don’t think anything of it but the older brother starts to get jealous. He becomes abusive but the Uke doesn’t seem to care all that much? He looses it when his mom makes a comment about him and his little brother having the same jacket. He finds out that the uke gifted him the same jacket his little brother has and would get turned on seeing him wear it during sex and stuff. He put together that the Uke just wanted the ML and not him. Anyway fast forward and now the Uke is driving the ML over the edge and thinking that this obsessive abuse is what will keep them together. Eventually the Ml finds out about his past, sees how he’s treated by his family and stands up for him. The most current raw looks like they kinda made up. I’m hoping they can start having a normal relationship now.

The uke struggles with how to express his love due to his childhood. Isn’t an excuse, but it makes sense why he has such a twisted view of it. It looks like He approached the brother because he mistook him for his little brother and then realized the little brother was the kid he saw.
