I feel like they softened the glasshouse scene, where ruby was literally half dead when Ceasar beat her up in the glasshouse for the recent chapters. I think the webtoon artist (?) wanted to make his image a little bit understandable since he comes from a background of abuse, and people from that background has a hard time escaping the cycle. But still. NO WAY! In the novel, I'm pretty sure he gets some sort of satisfaction whenever he hurts our baby ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ

In the Manhwa he just pushes her into a mirror that cracks while in the novel it describes how he bangs her against multiple mirrors over and over. It's gruesome.
See that makes more sense. The things she told her husband and the actions that have been shown aren't adding up. But now that I've read your comment when I think about how she said she was treated of course he would feel joy from it. He's pouring his mistreatment into her to make himself feel stronger and give himself the illusion of having some simulants of power.

The manhwa in general watered down Ruby's trauma. I remember that her thoughts and behavior was a lot more darker in the Novel and yes, the mirror scene was indeed softened down. (Tho i still enjoy reading the manhwa; i'm just not exactly a fan of the whole "trying to make the reader sympathize with the villain thing", since in the Novel Cezar is indeed much worse, out right cruel to the point he is a monster.
