I love the villainess. She's not just beautiful but actually a really scary threat, especially because the MC isn't as politically savvy or whatever as other MC vs conniving villains in other works.
I've only read the first chapter and I'm already on a whirlwind of emotions.
Honestly the translation quality isn't great (tho they tend not to be for Chinese to English manhua for some reason so I'm used to it) but the weird mystery plot is fire. Mostly I just love the female lead as she is very much not a weak damsel in distress that gets strung along like in so many other stories. Anyways my guess is the male lead's brother is somehow a threat and she just doesn't want her son's life being targeted in that household.
Also with the male lead being a crown prince AND a CEO they really just tried to just slap everything in there didn't they? Not that it's not possible but the dude has way too much free time on his hands for two of the most busiest jobs in the world unless he has some kind of manager doing the work for him. But this is just a story and I guess I can suspend my disbelief just to enjoy it.
Ah that being said it does have the generic "manly man" pushing her down to assert his dominance and forcing kisses and such on her. It's annoying to look at, especially as her 6 y/o son seems to be cheering it on instead of helping her. Not sure if it's actual Chinese or asian culture to find that attractive or if it's just some weird manhua thing that all the Chinese authors seem to do.
